On Tuesday, August 12, the “Wheel of Fortune” star shared a heartwarming Instagram post after visiting her former co-host in Hawaii, where he’s currently starring in the stage production “Prescription: Murder.”

Vanna White’s heartwarming reunion with her former “Wheel of Fortune” co-star comes exactly one year after Pat Sajak bid farewell to the iconic game show.

“Had the pleasure of seeing Pat’s awesome performance on stage in Hawaii last weekend! It was great catching up and spending time with him! #foreverfriends,” White captioned the sweet update.

The first picture featured the pair embracing each other while at a restaurant. Vanna wrapped her arm around her pal as he leaned on the table with his arms crossed.

Another photo showed her posing in front of the marquee at the Hawaii Theatre in Honolulu, where the former host was performing.

Fans lit up the comments section with messages of love for the duo, calling them “the world’s favorite besties” and “the best duo ever.”

One user wrote, “This melts my heart. Ryan is doing a great job, but I do miss Pat.”

Another added, “The show isn’t the same.”

Others simply gushed over seeing them together again, with one fan declaring, “Awesome! I sure do miss him on ‘Wheel of Fortune.’ It is not the same.”

Sajak replaced Chuck Woolery on “Wheel of Fortune” in 1981, with White joining the show the following year. He exited the series in June 2024 but continued hosting “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” until 2025. Ryan Seacrest has since stepped into the co-host role alongside White.

Before Pat Sajak officially signed off from “Wheel of Fortune,” Vanna White delivered an emotional on-air tribute to her longtime friend and co-host. Fighting back tears, White reflected on their more than four decades together as one of television’s most iconic duos.

“I can’t believe that tomorrow is our last show together,” she began. “I don’t know how to put into words what these past 40 years have meant to me, but I’m going to try.”

White also shared personal memories from their time off-camera. “We’ve watched our children grow up together, we’ve traveled all over the world, we’ve eaten hundreds of meals together, we’ve laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve celebrated,” she continued. “What an incredible and unforgettable journey we’ve had.”

Pat Sajak officially bid farewell to viewers on June 7, 2024, in an emotional final episode. The 77-year-old host reflected on his years at the helm, sharing a heartfelt message to the millions who tuned in night after night.

Sajak said he always felt a responsibility to make “Wheel of Fortune” a safe space for family fun, free of politics or controversy, but over time, it became so much more, from helping kids learn their letters to bringing generations together. He called it an honor to be part of viewers’ lives for so many years.

He also took a moment to thank the “Wheel of Fortune” crew for their skill, dedication, and good humor.

“It worked because you made it work. It looked great because you made it look great, and you made my job so much easier,” Sajak said. “Your skills and dedication and good humor made this a place I always wanted to be.”

Sources close to the show claim Sajak’s daughter, Maggie Sajak, has quietly emerged as a possible successor to the 68-year-old co-host. Maggie, who became the show’s social correspondent in 2021, already has an inside look at how the production runs both on and off camera.

Her growing role, coupled with her reportedly much lower salary compared to Vanna’s $10 million per year, has producers eyeing her as a budget-friendly alternative.

“It’s no wonder Vanna is worried,” one insider said, hinting that the beloved TV icon could be edged out if the network decides to tighten costs.

As of now, nothing has been confirmed regarding White’s future on the game show.
