Wendy Williams wants nothing to do with her ex-husband or his lawsuit!

The former TV host has publicly distanced herself from any plot involving her ex-partner, Kevin Hunter, following his recent move to have her released from her ongoing conservatorship. 

Wendy Williams and her ex, Kevin Hunter, parted ways in a very nasty divorce battle in 2020 after over two decades of marriage. Since then, the exes have not seen eye to eye on anything.

Williams insists she was not and will not be a part of her ex’s agitations to get her removed from legal guardianship and also get compensated. She added that Hunter’s move did not surprise her as he is fond of quick cash-grubbing schemes.

The former TV host advised the public to take her ex-husband’s concerns with a grain of salt, as they do not remotely represent her interests. She has zero idea how her name appeared next to his as a plaintiff in the federal lawsuit.

In his lawsuit, Hunter requested for immediate release of his ex-wife from involuntary confinement and a termination of Sabrina Morrissey as Williams’ legal guardian.

Joe Tacopina, Williams’ attorney, told TMZ that his client’s ex has no mandate to go to war on her behalf. He insisted that the former host does not need his help or his legal team’s.

Reports gathered by PEOPLE show that Hunter came out guns blazing with his concerns carefully drafted. According to the lawsuit, Hunter stated that Williams had experienced out-of-control abuse, mistreatment, and financial mismanagement within the three years of her guardianship. 

He noted that the arrangement was first instituted after an alleged unpublicized proceeding during which she was not allowed to secure adequate legal counsel. It was then linked to her diagnosis of dementia, but she now claims not to have any mental incapacitation.

The complaint also stated that Williams had had no independent medical examination before being placed in guardianship and has been since overmedicated and unnecessarily restricted.

Hunter added that care specialists shared pictures of his ex-wife in her delicate state for financial compensation from media outlets.

In the lawsuit, he complained about Judge Sokoloff for not allowing Williams’ retained lawyers to file papers, be present in court, and view documents that had been previously submitted.

The lawsuit noted that Williams is a prisoner of a corrupt criminal enterprise and that the Plaintiffs are taking the action to the court, hoping to free her of this “fraudulent bondage.”

Hunter also lists the 2024 tax lien against Williams, the foregone profit on her NYC penthouse, and the sale of her personal possessions as reasons that she was mismanaging her finances.

He claimed that her son could not access his college funds and that the defendants had used her money to pay for the lawsuit against her.

The 52-year-old estimated that Williams has lost up to 20 million dollars annually in earnings by not getting to work. Hunter also accused her Wells Fargo financial advisor, Lori Schiller, of withdrawing a total of $60,000 out of Williams’ account.

He explained that the money was deposited into the account of Dr. Rami Kaminski, who sent the medical opinion letter in January 2022 stating that Williams suffered impaired judgment and was unable to make rational decisions. 

Hunter also claimed Williams’ lawyers possess evidence indicating that Wells Fargo and her attorney, Linda Redlisky, appointed by the court, are active contributors to the re-election campaign of Judge Lisa Sokoloff. 

At the end of his suit, Hunter demanded a comprehensive forensic accounting and $250 million in relief for financial loss and other inconveniences experienced by the former DJ.

Little wonder the former BET host wants nothing to do with her ex’s new legal move. Back in 2021, at the height of Williams’ health problems, The Blast confirmed that the Hunter put a ring on his long-time mistress’s finger.

He reportedly popped the question with a huge diamond ring valued at $80,000, which has been spotted on Sharina Hudson’s ring finger multiple times in 2020.

Williams had previously addressed her ex-husband’s philandering ways, including how his relationship with the massage therapist cost them their marriage. 

Hudson allegedly gave birth to Hunter’s child in 2019, signaling the end of his 22-year marriage to the former host. When the news broke, Hunter was reportedly remorseful about his fling with Hudson at the time and sought to make amends with a public apology.

Williams also explained that her ex was having affairs with different women while she was carrying their son, Hunter Jr.

Speaking of Judge Sokoloff, Williams, and her family got into her bad books in April following their actions, especially with the press.

Sokoloff slammed the former host’s niece for releasing sensitive information about her living conditions and health to the media. She promised her family that possible future sanctions would be considered if the behavior persisted.

Sokoloff did not stop there; she also took a jab at Williams’ career, which flourished across the media. She emphasized to the family that the star’s career was over for good, declaring, “It’s done.”

The former DJ and her niece also got into trouble with the staff of the Manhattan facility where Williams stayed. The authorities claimed that the pair stepped out of the building for an outing without obtaining the necessary permission.
