Victoria Beckham’s Chart Just Flipped: Best-Selling Single Drops Amid Brooklyn’s Dramatic Family Feud—What’s the Cosmic Tea?

Added on January 24, 2026 inMusic News Cards

Is it just me, or does family drama seem to have this strange cosmic talent for reigniting old flames—well, in this case, old pop careers? Brooklyn Beckham’s eyebrow-raising Instagram rant has not only stirred up quite the celestial storm within the Beckham clan but, amusingly enough, it’s sent Victoria’s 2001 solo single “Not Such An Innocent Girl” spiraling back into the UK charts. Talk about a plot twist worthy of a Mercury retrograde! While little bro’s words hinted at icy relations and image control chaos, the astrological timing couldn’t be more ironic—because when the stars cluster around tension, unexpected sparks often fly elsewhere. So, while David and Victoria might be picking up the pieces of their family mosaic, Brits are seemingly teaming up to boost Victoria’s R’n’B tinged gem, turning private strife into public airtime. Who said the cosmos doesn’t have a wicked sense of humor? LEARN MORE

Brooklyn Beckham’s scathing comments about his family have caused a surprising resurgence in Victoria’s pop career.

By now you’re likely all aware with the drama surrounding the Beckham family, after eldest son Brooklyn revealed that he did not wish to reconcile with his parents in a pages-long Instagram statement.

The explosive post saw the 26-year-old accuse his parents of controlling the family image as well as claiming mum Victoria hijacked his first dance with wife Nicola Peltz.

Brooklyn’s comments will have likely been received poorly over at camp David and Victoria, however every cloud has a silver lining, with the drama causing an unexpected resurgence in the former Spice Girl’s singing career.

Either out of support for the 51-year-old or desire to extend a viral meme, Brits have worked together to get her 2001 single ‘Not Such An Innocent Girl’ back in the charts.

Confirmed yesterday by the UK Official Charts yesterday (23 January) Beckham has been awarded the UK’s highest-selling single of the week for the R’n’B tinged pop track, which featured Y2K visuals and references to a ‘secret rose tattoo’ she wants to show you.

One can only wonder what that means.

As well as the single sales chart, ‘Not Such An Innocent Girl’ also peaked on the downloads chart, following a 19,615 percent in both sales and streams.

The outpouring of love was not enough to break into the Official Singles Chart Top 100 however, with the top spot going to Dave’s ‘Raindance’ followed by Djo with ‘End of Beginning’.

‘Not Such An Innocent Girl’ was Beckham’s first stab at a solo career, peaking at number six in the charts back in 2001. She would have a total of four top 10 singles, including a 2000 feature on Dane Bowers’ song ‘Out of Your Mind’.

Victoria’s chart success comes just a day after Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding DJ spoke out about the inappropriate dancing which allegedly took place at the reception.

During an interview on This Morning, DJ Fat Tony explained that it was the ‘timing’ of Victoria’s dance with Brooklyn rather than her dance moves which caused upset.

“There was no… slut dropping, there was no Spice Girl action… it was the timing,” he explained.

“The timing was inappropriate for me. It was meant to be a bride and groom’s moment,” he later added to MailOnline. “It was in the heat of the moment.”

LADbible Group previously reached out to a representative for David and Victoria Beckham for comment.
