Welcome back to the North Shore!
After a brief break, Rescue: HI-Surf returns with another exciting hour coming in fresh off their best hour to date on Rescue: HI-Surf Season 1 Episode 17, and it’s the last before the season finale.
As you’ll see in the clip exclusive to TV Fanatic, things could be getting dicey for Will when Julie’s dad sues him!
We haven’t seen Julie since she dumped Will way back during Rescue: HI-Surf Season 1 Episode 11, and Will hasn’t exactly done a lot of processing it … at least not on screen.
We’ve seen him have a little one-night fun and try to channel his anger via Vince’s fight club, but can he sit down and talk about his feelings regarding the end of his engagement?
Absolutely not.
Well, that may be about to change now that he has to confront the wedding head-on in the form of a lawsuit.
Considering the reason the wedding never took place was due to Will’s infidelity, it’s not exactly shocking that her father would want to make Will pay, literally, for what he did to his daughter.
But Will isn’t exactly Mr. Moneybags, so this lawsuit seems more based on emotion than anything else.
Laka’s quip about Will and Em splitting the bill went over like a lead balloon, but it was funny in a darkly humorous way.
The Will and Em situation has been never-ending, and after the last hour, in which they kissed but Em broke things off before they could go further, it will be fascinating to see how the two of them interact now.
They are both terrible communicators, and Will, especially, has been known to shut down emotionally.
Em had every right to pump the brakes with them, but does Will agree?
Can they ever get back to where they once were before things got infinitely messier than ever before?
We only have two more episodes this season to find out the answer to those questions!
While Will has to deal with a new life complication, he may also get pulled into the saga that is Vince, as suspicions about the veteran lifeguard grow.
It’ll be interesting to see the fallout if and when word gets back to Sonny, considering he and Vince are old friends.
It’ll put Sonny in an odd position, but ultimately, Vince is at fault, and his actions could have massive ramifications for them in the long run.
Sonny is a man of principle, but it’s still difficult to learn something so serious about someone you’ve known for a long time and trust. It won’t be easy.
Speaking of not easy? Hina confronting her feelings for Kainalu will be anything but easy.
Everything has been leading up to Hina finally admitting to herself that she has feelings for her roommate and co-worker, but how Kainalu reacts will be anyone’s guess.
We’ve somehow approached the tail end of Rescue: HI-Surf Season 1, and this looks to be one crazy, action-packed penultimate episode!
Check out the exclusive clip below, and let us know what you’re looking forward to seeing!
We’ll be back when it’s over to break it all down.
You can watch Rescue: HI-Surf on FOX at 9/8c on Mondays.
