During “Temptation Island”‘s reunion taping, the cast reflected on their whirlwind experience, both on and off the show, and the emotional rollercoaster that followed.
“I thought it was definitely crazy,” Natalie Cruz shared of her time on the island. “I went from zero to feeling so much love, and hate, as well. I definitely got a lot of both. But as I got my story out there, I feel like I’ve gotten a lot more love than hate, which has been awesome.”
For Kay Carlson, the post-show experience has been “overwhelming” in the best way. “It’s been so fun. We’ve all been together,” she said. “I’ve been with Natalie pretty much the entire month. We can’t stay away from each other.”

Yamen Sanders echoed the sentiment, calling the journey “incredible” and saying he feels “blessed” to have gone through it alongside his new friends.
AndDanny Spongberg called the experience a “God-given blessing,” emphasizing how much the camaraderie helped him navigate life after the show. “We were in the thick of it with each other, and outside of it, we’re still really good friends,” he said.

One of the most talked about storylines of the season was Brion and Shanté’s, especially after that infamous threesome aired.
“Watching Brion and Shanté [story] was actually way more surprising to me to watch than any other part of the story,” Kay admitted, thinking back to when she watched the most recent season. “Because we all saw a really different side of Brion. We saw him as the class clown in the house. He was always goofing off, just having a good time.”
“But I think watching it also gave me a better understanding of what Brion truly believed,” she continued. “I think he was confused by the experience, honestly. Because I think when he had the threesome, I truly believe that he thought that this is what the experience is for.”

As for the hate Shanté has gotten for taking back Brion, Kay had some words of advice. “I think we judge Shanté very hard, but Ashley [Moore] took back a cheater. Tayler [Byrd] took back a cheater. Like how many girls have taken back a cheater?” she said during the reunion. “We don’t understand it. It happens every single day, though. So, it’s really easy for us to sit here and be, like, I don’t get it.”
Danny then chimed in, explaining that what broke his heart was the fact that Brion contemplated walking into that bathroom for minutes before engaging in the threesome.

“What broke my heart was when I actually watched it, and right before the threesome, when [Brion] was looking out the door,” Danny said. “If I watched that and saw my girlfriend debating a threesome for, like, two minutes and then end up going into it, it’s over. That broke my heart.”
After “Temptation Island” stopped filming, Natalie and Grant kept in touch, but things went south pretty quickly.
“We went on a trip together and we had a really good time,” Natalie explained. “And then I was like, oh, I actually do think I like Grant after the island, but in hindsight, looking back, I think he wanted to kind of be all the things that I was looking for in a person because we had talked about what we’re looking for in a person, like, day in, day out. So I think that he wanted to be those things and then ultimately he couldn’t keep up with that persona that he was, because that’s just not who he is at all.”
Natalie revealed, “We were exclusive for a little over a month, but then he cheated on me with Ashley. And I haven’t spoken to him since then.”

Despite Grant cheating on Natalie with Ashley, the two have formed a civilized relationship.
“We’re cool. I wouldn’t say we’re the best of friends,” Natalie said. “But she reached out to me about a month or two before the show and we compared notes about everything. I sent her every screenshot that Grant has ever sent me since we broke up so that way she could compare timelines. We talked over everything.”
She added, “I saw her at the premiere. We were holding hands in front of Grant to see what his reaction would be and he still was like, wait, are they friends? He was still confused, and we were like, [he’s] stupid.”
When Mark asked Yamen about his connection with Tayler, the emotional weight of their relationship was immediately clear.
“It was a slow burn,” Yamen said. “And things started getting pretty nice there towards the end.”
After the show, however, reality set in. “I understood the ladies are just going through a lot,” he explained. “You’re going through a breakup and you just broke up with somebody two weeks ago. [So you] need a little space. So naturally we just kind of fell out of contact for a bit.”
Now, however, Yamen says they “talk every day” and they “enjoy each other’s company.”
“We’ll see where things go,” he concluded.

Kay says her connection with Tyler started strong thanks to shared values around spirituality and fitness, and while they formed a connection on the island, “after overnight date, we had a really mature discussion in the sense of like, we’re not going to be a relationship after the island because we all know Tyler hadn’t been single in what 10 years? Since he was 18.”
And then, although filming ended, the drama heated up.
“He stopped texting me two months after the show,” she explained, admitting that while the timeline is a bit messy, she heard “he started hanging out with his new girl two weeks after the show.”
“I really hate where it’s gone with Tyler and I,” Kay admitted. “I assume he doesn’t like me because he does have me blocked, but I genuinely, I never wanted it to get like this. I don’t even have anger towards Tyler.”
