As we sail into the weekend, the stars have a little something extra in store for us—especially for those of us who are a bit dreamy, maybe a little impulsive…or maybe just a touch reflective! This Friday night, the post-full Moon in Libra trines Pluto in Aquarius, inviting us to ponder our past loves and flirtations. As Venus goes retrograde in Aries, and Mercury also gets in on the retro action—look out!—it’s like opening Pandora’s box of past romances, isn’t it? So, have you recently rummaged through your own memory bank of affection? It’s quite the cosmic cocktail: a dash of nostalgia, a sprinkle of daring impulse, and perhaps a twist of regret. The vibe’s definitely sultry, but amidst the romantic chaos, it might just be time to put a little thought into those exhilarating urges. After all, emotions might lead us into thrilling waters—or turbulent seas. That’s the magic and mayhem of Mars—anchoring us down with Saturn and reminding us that, while we might want to make a splash, we should be careful not to capsize the boat! Ready to dive in? Friday night, the post-full Moon in Libra trines Pluto in Aquarius. Libra ruler Venus is retrograde in Aries, retreating from Tuesday’s conjunction with Mercury. Mercury stations retrograde as the Moon opposes Venus and Mercury overnight.
An airy, Venus-ruled Moon in tune with Pluto already lends a sultry mood of mentally tabbing back through your list of lusty loves, but retro Mercury and Venus rapidly increase the chances you’ll get the urge to place the call. Or they will. Where’s the serious, whim-dampening hand here? It’s Mars, Cancer Mars mixed with Pisces Saturn.
Though also in tune with emotional forces, Saturn gives us pause, stays the heartfelt urge to act. Or at the very least, it lends the ability (whether or not you choose is up to you). If you feel goaded, that’s still a choice to make. Saturn-bound choices are commitments. In Pisces, there’s a veneer of mystery. So, maybe you’re feeling a need that might lead to foolishness, Pisces Saturn here lets you walk away looking cooler than if you did.
But who knows, it takes two to tango — but pause and think twice about what you really want and the consequences down the road.
Mars trines Saturn through the weekend — and longer. It’s moving relatively slowly, just coming off its recent retrograde. It’s moving confidently and coating the urge to act with anchoring clarity. Mars also squares Chiron in Mars-ruled Aries, so I guess it’s up to us if we need to learn the hard way.
Saturday’s Libra Moon trines Jupiter in Mercury-ruled Gemini. It goes on to square Mars in the night. There’s always more than one possible outcome when we’re dealing with Gemini, and we may need to flirt with danger — or at least the danger that comes with the possibilities of success and failure. In any case, the urge to start something is consuming, and we feel like we want it ALL. If the stakes are low, what’s the harm? Just make sure you have an alternate plan if your wires get crossed.
Sunday morning, the Libra Moon perfects a t-square with Mars then Chiron. Another Mars-Saturn consequence (with Saturn in Pisces) may come through chemical choices. Hangover? Come-down? Whether it’s physical or spiritual, there’s a possibility for pain or regret. Do your due diligence the night before.
By afternoon, the Moon moves onto the point of a yod — formed through quincunxes to Taurus Uranus, the Pisces Sun, and Saturn. Sun conjunct Saturn and their sextile to Uranus are waning in effect, but the Moon highlights the aftermath in briefly balancing fashion. It ruffles the wake of Friday morning’s full moon as well. The subject is change: what change is wanted and how does it all feel? How it feels affects whether or not you’re likely to continue or break from that commitment.
It could feel quite sudden, so give yourself time to act on any changes you’re rethinking.
