Astrology has always been a fascinating tapestry of cosmic possibilities, but what if we told you that your birth chart might not be the ultimate guide to your destiny? Recently, I’ve been exploring the notion that progressed charts—those little gems that show how your planets evolve as you do—deserve a place of prominence alongside the natal chart. Once upon a time, many astrologers leaned on progressed charts, but over the past couple of decades, they’ve almost fallen off the radar.
Why is that? After personally experiencing the power of natal charts and transits, I found myself straying from the idea of progressions. I got results, but now it seems like there’s something intriguing lurking beneath the surface of those progressed planets. Think about it: when do we stop thriving in our careers? What happens when someone who’s been on top grows disenchanted with their path? Maybe it’s not just life’s challenges—they may have simply moved on… or evolved!
Have you ever wondered if a complex relationship could be liberated by a progressed Venus? If you’re scratching your head and thinking, “What on Earth is a progressed chart?”—worry not! I’m here to guide you through the cosmic twists and turns with an insightful exploration of these charts that might just change your astrological outlook!

I continue to consider the idea, progressed charts should be elevated. I’ve been in astrology all my life and can tell you, thirty years ago, a good percentage of astrologers used the progressed chart over the Natal. I recall mentioning this here or there, but not in the last twenty years.
I was getting good results with natal charts and transits so I didn’t look at this, in depth. Time passed and this trend faded. This is just a historical note, so this information can be carried forward.
I’m not ready to do this, myself. I get excellent results using the natal chart, but I know now, there’s something here. I’m mulling this… well, brainstorming may be a more accurate word. To be clear, these astrologers used transits… but to the Progressed rather than the Natal.
I’m thinking about clients who enjoy blood-pumping competition. They thrive at the top, waking up in the morning, ready to rage against, whoever for whatever. But it’s common a person busts their ass to get somewhere. Later in life, the come to hate their job. I might chock this up to disillusionment, with any number of things, but what if they have just simply, changed?
Same with drug users or drinkers who sober up. I don’t know this, I’m just trying to wonder about it, productively. We know a Uranus transit can liberate a person in an abusive relationship, but can their progressed planets do the same?
If you’re new to Progressed charts, here’s a good intro:
It’s all there… wanting to be single and then wanting to not be single. Now, think about the narratives out there. Some would say I was getting old (27) and now I want a man. Is it that? Or did my progressed Venus leave Virgo for Libra?
This is about really understanding your individual situation so you’re not knocked off your true course by propaganda aka orchestrated trends.
