This week’s astroweather reads like an adventure/coming of age story; and what do you know, Venus joins Mercury in Leo this week as Libra Mars picks up a square to Jupiter in Cancer. Jupiter continues its love affair with Juno in Scorpio, so the passion flows and ferments.
The corker is how the sweep of the Moon from Virgo through Scorpio touches on every pulsating part of the equation. Post new moon in Virgo, we see the new moon itself referenced and the way from the plan to the path itself unfold. New and old characters pop up, and discernment is only as befuddled as you’ve allowed it to be. Are you complicit, complacent? I guess we’re finding out, but I kind of think not. These waves of meaning have been insistent for weeks. The opportunity for positive change is EPIC.
Monday’s Virgo Moon sextiles Venus at the end of Cancer as it closes in on its aspects to Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto, all retrograde, as well as its sextile to direct Uranus in Gemini. The weekend’s new moon formed the point of a yod with the retro planets and squared Uranus. Venus perfects trines to Saturn and Neptune on Monday and Tuesday (respectively) with Uranus to follow on the heels of Neptune. Tuesday night, Venus makes its exact opposition to Pluto.
The new moon broached a subject, a tense but necessary beginning. Monday the Moon opens with “This subject, this direction and dialogue have value. Let’s see where it goes.” That’s the mood, the opportunity we are presented. “What IS it,” as the external dialogue is one thing, but what we think about it is another. It behooves us to make a plan to consider, discuss, and take advantage of the timing. The plan IS timely, and so is the opportunity. Swing with the timeline you’ve got.
Monday’s Moon moves from Mercury’s rule to Venus’ rule in Libra and immediately perfects a grand trine to Uranus and retro Pluto as well as including an opposition to retro Saturn-Nepune (for a kite formation). Immediately after, Venus hits Sun-ruled Leo.
We must figure out what we’re after while the window for experimental transformation and manifesting magic is open, and there’s no better time than Monday and Tuesday. Monday night, the Libra Moon moves past its sextile to Venus putting the Virgo Sun on their midpoint. The whole of the day alchemizes exterior impact of our new moon moment with the interior landscape of our needs and desires. If you’re handling a volcanic rebirth from within, these transits are a crazy-good doula. You’re doing the work, but you’ve got god-like, fated help. This birth has both metaphor and reality in its makeup.
Someone is new. Something is new. Reality is bending and sifting through the ethereal, sometimes solid, sometimes insubstantial. Change is coming from both the past and future at once, and there’s an element of putting something behind us in order to go forward. This doesn’t mean that someone is done, necessarily, but something about them has been over, or should be. Flip the script and fold that into the new.
Libra Mars squares Cancer Jupiter all week, and Leo Mercury heads into trine with retro Chiron in Aries. What we need to know, we already know. We learned through painful effort. Trust yourself. If it feels too big, too fast, and you’re waffling on direct action, relax. That’s it, relax. You don’t have to do it all once, but you do have to start when you feel the urge to push. You’re not holding this baby in.
Tuesday’s Libra Moon conjoins Mars then squares Jupiter and sextiles Mercury. Put on your shoes or your headphones and have the conversations and planning sessions you know you need to have. Even if you just start, open the convo, it’s enough. Don’t lose this shot. At the very least, pick up a pencil or keyboard and get your thoughts out. Make a pros and cons list, even if it’s just what you want, what you need, and what your fears are. With retro Pluto in Aquarius, those fears are mental and only an airy approach, talk or thinking and expression, will harness and evolve them.
Have the convos: Negotiate the terms to make way for blazing the path. Move your body to feel better.
Wednesday’s Libra Moon goes double for that. It opposes Mars-ruled retro Chiron then heads into Scorpio to square both Pluto and Venus. Start negotiations before Wednesday. Wednesday’s loose grand cross is good for continuing an intensifying narrative, but it’s a bit painful or stressful for a leading move. Counter moves may complicate your agenda. Remember, even when someone wants what you want and agrees with what you need, they’re still not YOU. It takes some finesse, and an honest, raw expression of where you’re coming from is necessary for the long-term success of any new venture that requires cooperation.
If your negotiations are with entities who are not your friends or comfortable colleagues, expect a bit of the run-around. In any case, it’s hashing out the rough edges as things look good to take off and fly in the end. So relax, sink into your well of experience, and put on a face that tells them we’re going to get there in one piece together.
On Thursday morning, the Scorpio Moon sextiles the Leo Sun. It also semi-sextiles Mars, not a hug impact, but it’s physically soothing AND exciting. Like coffee, but not a laxative. Or maybe it is. Hmm. In any case, it’s time to take stock of how you’re doing, how you’re feeling… whether or not you’re constipated. Have a laugh and jump into self-care and rounding up the details into a bigger picture. The Moon picks up the leading edge of a trine to Jupiter, so engage in some joy, maybe the kind that tickles the very depths of your soul.
Friday morning, the Scorpio Moon trines Jupiter then goes on to conjoin Juno in the afternoon. It then squares Mercury and conjoins Vesta by night. Start out optimistic, because there’s no reason not to be. Challenges can be ironed out when you’re committed to making it work. Few people like to be humbled, but being humbled allows you to start from the basics and build your way out. Accept it, use it. There’s good in it if it takes you where you need to go.
Venus is opening up the heart and bringing value and pleasure into a healthy ego this week. From 29 Cancer to 5 degrees Leo, where is it hitting your chart by house? Self care doesn’t have to cost money. It’s far more valuable when you cut the crap and invest in who you ARE. A healthy ego is necessary for all true success. We have far more influence on reality that we know, particularly now. Channel your inner Ted Lasso and BELIEVE.
