The star basketball player took to his social media page on Thursday to share a post supporting Harris alongside a scathing video compilation of past remarks made by Trump.

LeBron James’ endorsement of Harris comes after former Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger endorsed the Vice President while criticizing Trump.

James has joined a large number of notable figures who have endorsed Vice President Harris and condemned Trump ahead of the upcoming presidential election in November.

The NBA star took to his X account to show his support, writing, “What are we even talking about here?? When I think about my kids and my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me. VOTE KAMALA HARRIS!!!”

James’ message was posted alongside a clip of a video of Trump which was basically a compilation of the billionaire’s past remarks and actions all through his life.

The video depicted Trump as a person who uses “racist” rhetoric to drive his personal gains and fuel his political campaign.

The short video also included clips of Trump’s recent Madison Square Garden rally, the ex-president’s speeches, and scenes from civil rights protests.

It concluded with the text, “Hate Takes Us Back.”

The athlete’s post has since gone viral on X (formerly Twitter), amassing over 167,000 likes and 17,000 comments.

It has also stirred up some conversation on social media regarding the upcoming election, with many fans of James thanking him for speaking out.

One person wrote, “Thank you for always using your platform to fight for what’s my glorious king.”

Another person said, “This is why you’re the greatest player of all time.”

A third person commented, “The support of LeBron James means a lot! Team Democracy, thank you, King!”

James’ endorsement of Harris comes right after former Republican Governor of California and Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger shared a lengthy post on X endorsing the vice president.

The former bodybuilder slammed Trump’s past actions, especially for his continued claim that the 2020 election was stolen from him.

Schwarzenegger noted in his post that a candidate like Trump, “who won’t respect your vote unless it is for him,” “who will send his followers to storm the Capitol while he watches with a Diet Coke,” and a man “who has shown no ability to work to pass any policy besides a tax cut that helped his donors and other rich people like me,” won’t be able to solve America’s problems.

He added, “It will just be four more years of bullsh-t with no results that makes us angrier and angrier, more divided, and more hateful.”

Trump’s campaign was dealt a major blow after his rally at Madison Square Garden, where a comedian made racist jokes about Puerto Rico being a “floating island of garbage.”

Since the incident, several Latin stars have come out to endorse Harris, including Bad Bunny, Jennifer Lopez, and Ricky Martin.

Also, famous Latin singer Nicky Jam, who initially endorsed Trump, shared a post on Instagram renouncing his support for the former president.

“The reason I supported Donald Trump is because I believed it was what’s best for the economy in the United States, where a lot of Latinos live,” Nicky told his 43.5 million followers, per People Magazine.

He noted that he felt that supporting Trump, who is a “businessman,” was the “right move” as it would help “immigrants that are suffering over the state of the economy.”

“Never in my life did I think that one month later there would be a comedian who would criticize my country and speak poorly of my country,” Nicky added per People Magazine. “And for that I withdraw my support of Donald Trump. Puerto Rico should be respected.”

After Hinchliffe’s remarks made headlines, the Trump campaign released a statement distancing itself from the comedian.

“This joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign,” senior adviser Danielle Alvarez said, per AP News.

Campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt also talked about the incident during her appearance on “Fox & Friends,” admitting that the joke “fell flat.”

She said, “Obviously, that joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or our campaign. And I think it is sad that the media will pick up on one joke that was made by a comedian rather than the truths that were shared by the phenomenal list of speakers that we had.”

Leavitt added, “And the crowd didn’t mind, right? Again, it was a diverse group of people. The joke fell flat, but the crowd was there because they know who President Trump is and they know he wants to be a president for all Americans.”
