The phrase ‘like mother, like daughter’ really does ring true in Denise Richards’ case, as she and her eldest are both on OnlyFans.
Her firstborn Sami – who she shares with former husband Charlie Sheen – has reportedly made millions since joining the X-rated platform.
So it’s no wonder that Richards wanted to get in on it herself, as the 54-year-old recently revealed that it has been ‘lucrative’ – albeit controversial – career move for her too.
People have had a lot to say about the mother-daughter-duo taking OnlyFans by storm, especially after they teased ‘collaborations’ and it then emerged that Sami’s famous father did ‘not condone’ her saucy side hustle.
However, Two and a Half Men star Sheen, 59, has since changed his tune about his daughter’s choice and has now thrown his support behind her.
And that’s why Richards has been left pretty baffled as to why there is still so much discourse surrounding Sami’s chosen career path.
Although the mother-of-three admits she didn’t exactly grasp what OnlyFans was all about when her now-20-year-old daughter first signed up in 2022, she ended up launching her own account just weeks later.
“At first, I didn’t understand what OnlyFans was,” Richards told People. “When I saw that she was getting backlash for owning her sexuality and doing what she wanted to do, it upset me as a mom and also as a woman in business.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star also urged people to remember how she got her big break in the industry by starring in the 1998 erotic thriller, Wild Things.
“It’s surreal for me, because Sami and Lola are getting close to the age I was when I did it,” she said of the film role. “It was definitely risqué and also a risk on my part.
“God bless my parents. What they must have had to deal with my whole career.”
Essentially, she reckons it would be a case of the pot calling the kettle black if she disapproved of her daughter’s choice to join OnlyFans.
Richards also previously spoke out to defend Sami in 2022 in a social media post after her eldest was met by a host of backlash.
Taking to Instagram, the Bond girl hit out at people leaving ‘negative comments’ about her daughter.

Richards wrote at the time: “I have to say, I wish I had the confidence my 18 yr old daughter has. And I also can’t be judgmental of her choices. I did Wild Things, Playboy… quite frankly, her father shouldn’t be either.
“And to be able to ignore the negativity at her age? It took me many years. I still sometimes struggle. I’m in awe of her ability to be able to shut out the noise. Because it can destroy you.
“I recently learned about @onlyfans in the last few months. The judgement because women men of the adult film industry are on there. Is there really a difference posting a picture of ourself in a bikini on IG? We’ve all done it.
“Because you get paid on Only Fans? I’m pretty sure IG, Twitter, Facebook do quite well off of all of us. Is it so bad to control it monetise it too? I’m sorry, but sh*t if I can get paid and at my age?
“To see me in a bikini?!? God bless you. Perhaps I should open my own account…”
That is exactly what she did – and it seems as though her and Sami are both confident that they both made the right decision three years on.
