Timothée Chalamet Drops a Baby Bombshell: Why His Bold Take on Childfree Choices Has Everyone Talking—and Ticking!

Added on November 6, 2025 inCelebrity News Cards, Entertainment News Cards

So, today’s cosmic lineup might just explain why Timothée Chalamet decided to toss his two cents about the child-free life sounding, well, a bit bleak. With Mercury doing its usual dance and Saturn throwing some serious responsibility vibes around, it kinda sets the stage for deep reflections—and apparently, some star-studded parenting goals too. Timothée, who’s been pretty hush-hush about his relationship with Kylie Jenner, let slip in a Vogue interview that having kids could be “on the radar” for him, painting a future that’s less about the glitz and more about the giggles (or sleepless nights). But hey, in a world where celebs like Miley and Seth Rogen staunchly defend the joys of choosing no offspring, this whole “to breed or not to breed” debate is as charged as a full moon in Taurus. So, is the universe nudging us all to reconsider what family means? Or is Timothée just keeping us guessing like the ultimate plot twist? Either way, brace yourself for some star-crossed baby talk that’s anything but ordinary. LEARN MORE.

Timothée Chalamet Calls Child-Free Life “Bleak”

Kylie is already a mother to two children, 7-year-old Stormi and 3-year-old Aire, with her ex-partner, Travis Scott. However, it sounds like she has not ruled out the idea of having more kids. In May, a source told Entertainment Tonight that Kylie “told her closest friends that she would love to have another baby” with Timothée someday.

Aside from the occasional public appearance, the couple share very little about their relationship with the world. However, in a new interview with Vogue, Timothée has dropped some rare comments about his strong desire to become a father one day.

Speaking with the outlet for their December issue, Timothée (unsurprisingly) declined to comment on his relationship with Kylie, telling the writer: “I just don’t have anything to say.” Although, the 29-year-old was happy to acknowledge that many of his Hollywood peers are entering new chapters in their personal lives.

Zendaya is engaged. Anya is married,” he said of two of his costars, with whom he is currently shooting Dune: Part Three.

He didn’t go into much more detail about his family plans, but he did make it abundantly clear that having children one day is something that’s very important to him. Notably, he recalled a time that he and a friend were watching an interview with someone — whose name he would “definitely” not reveal — “bragging about not having kids and how much time it afforded them to do other stuff.”

By his own admission, this concept left Timothée and his friend completely perplexed. He remembered they turned to each other after watching and said, “Like, holy shit. Oh my God. Bleak.” Interestingly, the writer of the profile noted that Timothée was understanding of the fact that “some people can’t have children or are never in a position to,” but that he believes “procreation is the reason we’re here.”

So, that’s Timothée’s take. On the other hand, many celebs have openly discussed the benefits of being child-free by choice, as well as the judgment that often accompanies this decision. In 2019, Miley Cyrus told Elle magazine: “If you don’t want children, people feel sorry for you, like you’re a cold, heartless bitch who’s not capable of love…Why are we trained that love means putting yourself second and those you love first? If you love yourself, then what? You come first.”

Seth Rogen has been similarly vocal about why he and his wife, Lauren Miller, opted not to have kids, saying that it “definitely” helped his career in Hollywood. “Honestly, the older we get the more happy and reaffirmed we are with our choice to not have kids,” he said during a podcast interview in 2023. “We have the capacity to achieve a level of work and a level of communication and care for one another, and a lifestyle we can live with one another that we’ve never been able to live before, and we can just do that, and we don’t have to raise a child.”

Notably, Seth was faced with backlash for saying this, and he followed up earlier this year by telling critics: “You should only have kids if you really want kids, and we just don’t really want kids…I look at my friends with kids and honestly I feel like some of them are incredibly happy and fulfilled, and some of them seem like maybe they wish they had put a little more thought into it. I just didn’t want to be one of those people.”

It’s a pretty divisive topic, but, at the end of the day, everyone is entitled to their own opinion — and we certainly shouldn’t judge others for what they choose.
