On Wednesday, February 11, TMZ revealed that a third ransom note was sent to the outlet demanding one Bitcoin, which is worth approximately $66,000, in exchange for information about Nancy’s disappearance and who is behind her kidnapping.
According to the outlet, the sender of the ransom note alleges they have tried unsuccessfully to reach out to two of her children, daughter Annie and son Camron, both siblings of “Today” show co-host Savannah Guthrie, via text message and email.
“If they want the name of the individual involved then I want 1 Bitcoin to the following wallet. Time is more than relevant,” the note read.
TMZ also confirmed that the Bitcoin address used for the latest ransom request is authentic, but a different one from the address that was used for the previous ransom demand.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department shared on Tuesday, February 10, that they detained a man for questioning in Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The man, identified only as Carlos, was detained during a traffic stop in Rio Rico, Arizona, which is about 60 miles from where Nancy was last seen in Tucson.
Carlos, who said he was in the middle of making DoorDash deliveries when he was detained, spoke out after he was released from custody and expressed his innocence.
“What the f-ck am I doing here? I didn’t do anything. I’m innocent,” he told the members of the media who were outside his home.

In the biggest break in the case to date, on February 10, the FBI publicly shared surveillance footage with multiple images of a masked man at the front door of Nancy Guthrie’s home during the morning of her disappearance.
Kash Patel, director of the FBI, shared four black-and-white photos of the masked suspect on X.
The potential suspect is seen wearing gloves, a mask and a backpack in the images shared. There is also a section of the footage where the individual appears to tamper with the surveillance camera.
Patel also revealed that the person was armed, as what appeared to be a gun was holstered on his hip.

“Working with our partners — as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance,” Patel shared.

Former FBI profiler Gregg McCrary, shared with CNN, that the potential suspect has likely had his daily routine “disrupted,” which could help in finding the 84-year-old.
“His normal routine, going to work, going to the coffee shop, doing whatever — highly unlikely that has remained the same,” McCrary told the outlet. “He’s got a victim to take care of.”
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is calling on the assistance of local residents to determine if anyone in the area recognizes (even partially) the individual in the footage, and to be on the lookout for anyone matching their description.

After the images were shared, Savannah Guthrie posted them on social media, however according to NBC News, the Guthrie family confirmed that they do not recognize the person in the footage captured via Nest camera.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department conducted a search of Annie Guthrie’s neighborhood and canvassed the area for any clues or information, according to CNN.
Annie had dinner with her mother Nancy the night before she went missing.
The sheriff’s department has also confirmed that the investigation into Nancy’s disappearance “remains active and ongoing.”
