Spencer Matthews Drops Out of I’m A Celeb After 48 Hours—Is Vogue Williams About to Raise Hell in the Jungle?

Added on November 19, 2025 inCelebrity News Cards

Here we go again—Vogue Williams is gearing up to crash the I’m A Celeb jungle party as a latecomer, but guess what? Her husband Spencer Matthews won’t be there to hold her hand or swat away those Aussie creepy crawlies. You might recall Spencer’s infamous two-day mic drop in 2015 left fans blinking—talk about a blink-and-you-miss-it cameo! Now, while Vogue braces herself for Ant and Dec’s wild antics, Spencer’s off chasing a challenge that makes bug-eating look like a walk in the park—he’s attempting seven full-distance triathlons on seven continents in 21 days. Talk about commitment, or maybe it’s just Mercury moonwalking backwards messing with his priorities? So, if Vogue takes home the crown, don’t expect Spencer to be waiting at the iconic rope bridge, because he’s busy breaking world records and possibly breaking a sweat you don’t wanna imagine. Is this cosmic timing or just one wild reality TV plot twist? Either way, buckle up—it’s about to get real interesting in that jungle. LEARN MORE.

Vogue Williams will soon enter the I’m A Celeb jungle as one of the two late entrants to the show, though her husband’s own challenge means he will be unable to join her.

Williams’ husband Spencer Matthews, well known for his time on Made in Chelsea, was forced to quit I’m a Celeb after just two days back in 2015.

Williams, who has been married to Matthews since 2018, will be joining the ITV show late alongside Celebs Go Dating receptionist Tom Read Wilson.

Despite her excitement at going in to the jungle (and the likely major payout for the two week stint) Matthews will be unable to go out to Australia and support his wife in person.

While this is not linked to his incredibly short stint in the show, which saw him quit before even making it to the main celebrity camp, it will set many minds back to his brief time in the jungle.

Why can’t Spencer Matthews support Vogue Williams in Australia?

Matthews is busy taking on a task even more difficult than the two weeks in the jungle spent with Ant and Dec pouring creepy crawlies on you.

He is in the middle of completing seven full distance triathlons, a challenge placed upon himself and one which he aims to complete across seven continents in just 21 days.

This means that, if Williams wins the show, it is unlikely she would see her husband waiting for her at the end of the show’s iconic rope bridge.

A source told the Daily Mail that the clash was ‘unfortunate’ but ‘unavoidable’.

The move is to raise money and awareness for James’ Place, a charity that provides support for suicidal men.

If Matthews succeeds he will hold the world record for the shortest time to complete the seven full distance triathlons on seven continents, with the previous record being four years.

Why was Spencer Matthews removed from I’m A Celeb after just two days?

The Made in Chelsea star appeared on the Everything I Know About Me podcast where he called his short stint on I’m A Celeb ‘the worst thing that’s ever happened’.

Matthews was removed from the jungle after it was found that he was taking anabolic steroids in anticipation of an upcoming boxing fight.

The steroid, Anvar, was illegal in Australia without a prescription and had serious side effects if you stop taking it suddenly.

The reality star claims that producers were aware he had been taking the drug but were unaware that it was illegal in Australia, at which point he was pulled from the camp.

At the time of his departure he put out a tweet saying: “I have disappointed my family, friends and fans and would like to apologise. I would like to thank ITV for the opportunity and their support, they’re a class act.

“I loved every minute of being in the jungle and wish the remaining contestants the best of luck. Hoping for another shot at it someday.”

While Matthews has yet to reappear on the show, he will surely be hoping for a more successful stint from Williams.
