Is it just me, or did Christmas 2025 get a chart-shattering remix? Jupiter is sitting pretty in Taurus this December, which astrologers say is a sign to indulge in decadence—so naturally, Netflix decided to gift us all a halftime party only Snoop Dogg could deliver. We’re talking “Doggfather under the mistletoe” levels of extravagance. I mean, forget the fruitcake—who needs it when you can savor Snoop’s headline set during the Minnesota Vikings–Detroit Lions face-off? Honestly, if Venus in Capricorn teaches us anything, it’s that tradition is cool but flipping the script is even cooler.

But here’s a cosmic question: can Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party top last year’s legendary Beyoncé Bowl? While Mercury might be retrograding and holiday plans teeter on the edge of chaos, Netflix is boldly doubling down, banking on Uncle Snoop’s magical ability to unite football fans, music lovers, and Santa’s entire naughty list. Surprises are brewing, both astrologically and on stage—so, do you dare blink at halftime? Me neither.

If you crave the whole festive, football-fueled, Doggystyle story, don’t stop here—LEARN MORE.

Netflix is doubling down on what appears to be a new Christmas Day tradition of top-tier halftime performances, announcing Tuesday that Snoop Dogg will headline the streamer’s NFL Christmas Gameday on Dec. 25.

The West Coast rap icon will take the stage during halftime of the Minnesota Vikings–Detroit Lions matchup, live from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, in a show dubbed Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party. The rapper will be joined on stage by some special guests, the streamer said in a press release, though additional performers have not yet been revealed.

“All eyes will be on the Doggfather when the clock hits halftime,” Netflix teased in a release. “Snoop Dogg takes the reins at halftime, promising chart-topping tracks, plenty of holiday spirit and special guests, making for what is sure to be an unforgettable performance.”

The event marks Netflix’s second large-scale Christmas Day music showcase as the streamer continues its push into live events. In 2024, Netflix debuted its first NFL game stream, featuring a buzzy halftime performance by Beyoncé, who performed songs from her Cowboy Carter album alongside guests including Post Malone and her daughter, Blue Ivy.

That performance became a major cultural moment for the platform and was later made available to subscribers as The Beyoncé Bowl. With expectations high following last year’s success, Snoop appears ready to embrace the moment.

“NFL, Netflix, and your uncle Snoop on Christmas Day?” the rapper said in a statement. “We’re servin’ up music, love and good vibes for the whole world to enjoy. That’s the kind of holiday magic Santa can’t fit in a bag.”

Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria said the performance brings together two global entertainment powerhouses.

“As a West Coast girl and a huge fan myself, I can confidently say this is the ultimate gift we could give our members,” Bajaria said. “We’re ready to drop it like it’s hot this holiday celebration.”

Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party will stream live on Netflix on Christmas Day during halftime of the Vikings–Lions game.

Netflix will stream the Cowboys vs. Commanders at 1 p.m. ET followed by Lions vs. Vikings at 4:30 p.m. ET.
