SkyShowtime has unveiled a new Polish original documentary, a two-parter entitled Edyta Górniak about the famous Polish singer. “Offering an authentic and compelling portrayal of the singer’s journey from humble beginnings to becoming one of Poland’s most iconic artists,” per the European streaming joint venture of Comcast and Paramount, the program will premiere exclusively on SkyShowtime in 2026.
“The documentary invites viewers into the world of an extraordinary artist – a woman whose life combines a spectacular global music career with the everyday realities of being a woman and a mother,” the streamer said on Thursday. “Her story reveals the striking contrasts between these two realms, offering a deeper understanding of the fascinating personality behind the girl who rose from her hometown in Ziębice to gracing the world’s music stages.”
SkyShowtime also described the doc as “a personal story of feminine strength, courage, forgiveness, love, and the power of hope.” It will feature archive material and new, personal perspectives.

We are proud to showcase her remarkable journey and career, taking viewers behind the scenes of both her professional and personal life.”
Produced by Constantin Entertainment Polska and producer Michał Brożonowicz, Agata Chwaszczewska serves as executive producer. The director is Aleksandra Machnik.
Górniak began her career as a musical theater performer, and at the age of 19, made her debut on Broadway in New York. Her role as Poland’s first-ever Eurovision Song Contest participant in 1994, coming in second with “To nie ja,” which still marks the country’s best result at the competition, marked the beginning of her career in Poland and beyond.
