Ever wonder what happens when a proud, no-apologies mom’s fiery Leo energy collides with the high-stakes drama of the NFL Draft? Well, Pilar Sanders isn’t here for the haters — and honestly, who could blame her? Curious how all this unfolded and what cosmic chaos might’ve sprinkled its mischief? LEARN MORE.

Shedeur Sanders‘ mom, Pilar Sanders, isn’t holding anything back when it comes to her superstar children.

On Instagram, Pilar uploaded a family photo of her with her children after two of them were drafted by NFL teams in late April 2025.

The group picture was sweet, but it also featured an interesting caption that seemed to be about the pushback her quarterback son, Shedeur Sanders, has received from critics.

Pilar Sanders Isn’t Offering Any Apologies To Shedeur Sanders’ Haters

According to Us Weekly, Pilar shared an image of her family on her Instagram Stories. She captioned the photo, “proud mom,” but that wasn’t what made some people do a double-take.

“Confident ladies produce confident babies. No apologies!” she wrote.

Pilar’s comments come just under two weeks after Shedeur made headlines for his journey throughout the 2025 NFL Draft.

After being predicted to be selected within the first of seven rounds by an NFL team, Shedeur surprisingly fell to the fifth round, when the Cleveland Browns selected him with the 144th overall pick.

His stock falling caused much conversation, with some assuming NFL teams were trying to humble him, while others said there was too much hype around him to begin with.

On day two of the three-day draft, Shedeur was the victim of a humiliating prank call, which was streamed live on his Twitch.

In the clip, Shedeur was seen answering a private phone reserved only for NFL personnel and saying, “Good, I’ve been waiting on you.”

However, the smiles turned to frowns after Shedeur and the people around him realized he was being pranked. Shedeur said the caller told him he’d have to “wait a little longer” before hanging up.

“I don’t know what that was,” he said. “Nobody’s got this number, though. Nobody. This is a private number.”

Atlanta Falcons Reveal Their Coach’s Son Was Part Of The Prank Call After The NFL Announced Their Investigation

A day later, a video of the prank callers surfaced online. It showed two young adult males, one of whom was outed as Jax Ulbrich, the son of the Atlanta Falcons’ coach Jeff Ulbrich.

Before the Falcons and Jax admitted their involvement in the situation, the NFL announced it was “looking into” the matter.

Shortly after, the Falcons issued a statement and revealed that their coach’s son “unintentionally came across the draft contact phone number for Shedeur Sanders on an open iPad” and later used the number to conduct a prank call.

“Jeff Ulbrich was unaware of the date exposure or any facets of the prank and was made aware of the above only after the fact,” the statement continued.

“The Atlanta Falcons do not condone this behavior and send our sincere apologies to Shedeur Sanders and his family, who we have been in contact with to apologize to, as well as facilitate an apology directly from Jax to the Sanders family.”

Jax And Jeff Ulbrich Make Public Apologies

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Jax, 21, also apologized to Shedeur for displaying “inexcusable, embarrassing, and shameful” behavior.

“I’m so sorry I took away from your moment,” he wrote. “It was selfish and childish. I could never imagine getting ready to celebrate one of the greatest moments of your life, and I made a terrible mistake and messed with that moment.”

Falcons Fined $250,000 For Data Exposure

Days later, the NFL announced that Jeff Ulbrich and the Atlanta Falcons would receive $100,000 and $250,000 fines, respectively.

The team said, “We appreciate the NFL’s swift and thorough review of last week’s data exposure and the event that transpired due to it.”

The statement continued, “We were proactive in addressing the situation internally and cooperated fully with the league throughout the process, and accept the discipline levied to Coach Jeff Ulbrich and the organization.”

Jeff acknowledged the league’s decision and said he “fully respect[s] the punishment.”

“We take full responsibility, my son and myself, and we will not be appealing the fine in any way. Going forward, I promise my son and I will work hard to demonstrate we are better than this,” he continued.

Jeff also addressed Shedeur and his family and apologized for what occurred before speaking to the Falcons organization.

“My actions — my actions — of not protecting confidential data were inexcusable. My son’s actions were absolutely inexcusable. And for that, we are both deeply sorry.”
