**Industry Season 3 Premiere Review: Il Mattino ha L’Oro Bocca**
For the moment, Pierpoint is trying to embrace the green movement, but let’s be real: “green” doesn’t even begin to scrape the surface of what makes *Industry* so compelling. Buckle up, because this season kicks off with “Il Mattino ha L’Oro Bocca,” and it quickly plunges us back into the deliciously chaotic lives of the show’s most layered characters. It’s clear right away that season three is shaping up to be a wild ride—much more than just another collection of episodes!

### Big Girls Don’t Cry; They Get Screwed Over
Let’s not beat around the bush: Harper’s firing left us with our jaws on the floor at the end of season two. So, naturally, it’s a little surprising that we don’t jump straight into her story in the opener. Instead, we find ourselves focusing on Yas, our self-proclaimed Nepo Princess, who’s doing her best to not fly too close to the sun. With Myha’la’s powerhouse performances, it’s a bold move to shift gears away from Harper, but it might just pay off with greater character depth.
When considering *Industry*, it’s hard to ignore that Harper often sits at the story’s core. Shifting to Yas might feel like a gamble at first, but it could create a beautiful expansion of the storyline, enhancing the series in ways we haven’t seen yet.

Last we saw Yas, she threw down the gauntlet with her father, setting off fireworks that were anything but celebratory. She fell from grace and was totally blindsided by the world when it turned against her in the wake of her father’s scandal. The season premiere does a stellar job of humanizing her, making us empathize as she navigates the fallout from her father’s shady dealings.
Oh, *Industry*, you certainly know how to capture our attention!
Yas rubbing elbows with “the poors” sounds like a juicy premise, but it seems the season may not fully deliver on that—at least, not in any expected way. Instead, we see her fending off the incessant paparazzi and dealing with her father’s frenemies. It’s a classic case of “the rich girl” being made the scapegoat for her father’s misgivings.
#### Yas is Damned by Daddy Dearest
Let’s face it—everyone wants to pin the blame on Yas while her father beaches himself somewhere sunny. She’s left holding the bag (minus the actual bag) for his misdeeds. Ironically, the world sees her as the benefit-laden daughter who’s simply reaping what her dad sewed!
There’s no denying Yas’s position is precarious. She’s seen as a liability in a company her father built with his dubious dealings, and she’s managed to land herself right at the bottom of the barrel—one slippery slope to independence, if you ask me. The trick now is proving that she’s an indispensable asset—a challenge that could pave the way for her standout moment.

### Harper Stern: Imitated, But Never Duplicated
In some ways, Yas appears to be channeling her inner Harper—though good luck trying to fill those boots. She’s desperately seeking the approval that once flowed so freely to Harper. Yas and Eric have an intriguing tension that simmers just below the surface. This dynamic creates a sort of ‘mentor-student’ relationship, albeit a twisted one since Eric has yet to find his footing without Harper’s unparalleled influence.
Eric, played by Ken Leung, is exploring what it means to be a leader in the absence of his former protégé. He’s like a ship lost at sea, hunting for a new anchor in Yas and Robert—a dilemma that’s poised to spiral out of control.
