In a new revelation tied to her upcoming memoir “My Good Side,” the “Vanderpump Rules” star, who discovered Brock had cheated on her while she was pregnant with their daughter, Summer Moon, admitted that she would have ended the relationship if they didn’t share a child.

Shay revealed in her upcoming memoir that her husband had an affair in 2021, while she was expecting their daughter.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, the television personality opened up about her reaction upon finding out about Davies’s infidelity.

“A slap across the face and me chucking a Rubik’s cube in his direction,” she said.

However, Shay explained that she then took a deep breath and reminded herself that their daughter was upstairs asleep.

According to her, she realized that the situation was not so simple and needed to be handled carefully.

Despite the hurt and heartbreak from her husband’s affair, Shay admitted she remained in the marriage.

The 40-year-old told the outlet that if there hadn’t been a child involved, or if she had discovered the affair at the time it happened, she would have ended the relationship immediately.

“Had there been no kid or, honestly, had I found out when he did it …One hundred percent, without a doubt, I would have left,” she said, explaining that she has always believed she would walk away if a partner cheated on her.

She reflected on her past, noting that her ex-husband, Michael Shay, had an emotional affair, which she felt could be even worse than a physical one.

Shay added that this situation was entirely new for her to navigate.

Shay also spoke candidly about the possible reasons for her husband’s actions and why he decided to come clean.

She explained that Davies decided to confess after the Tom Sandoval cheating scandal, fearing that something about his past might leak.

The reality TV star admitted that she was thankful the truth came from him directly, rather than through rumors.

“It took him a long time to tell me because he was afraid,” she said, adding that at first she couldn’t understand why he had kept such a painful secret but later saw the fear behind his actions.

Shay went on to reveal that Davies’s fear stemmed from his own struggles as a father. “He felt like he didn’t deserve a second chance at being a father,” she stated, referencing his strained relationship with two older children living in Australia.

According to her, it broke her heart to see him sabotage something so meaningful because of his guilt. “We can’t let our past define who we are,” the actress added.

Although Scheana Shay is still in the marriage, she confessed that healing their relationship is an ongoing process.

“It takes work every single day,” she explained, adding that she will always have some insecurities.

The “Vanderpump Rules” star recalled a recent moment when she saw Davies swipe and delete a text message.

“I’m like, ‘What was that?’ And he’s like, ‘Seriously, Scheana?’” she said.

Despite that, Shay stressed that she genuinely believes her husband would never repeat his past mistake.

The mom of one went on to say that trust and forgiveness have grown through intentional effort. Shay shared that she truly trusts him now and has forgiven him for the affair.

“We’ve put in the work in couples therapy,” she noted, explaining that their open communication has helped them rebuild.

After everything she has gone through, Shay told the magazine she believed Brock Davies’s affair was karma, given her past affair with then-married Eddie Cibrian.

“It really felt like I got my karma. Did I deserve for [Brock to cheat on me]? No, but I told myself that I did,” she admitted.

However, Shay maintained that she wasn’t to blame for her affair with Cibiran. According to her, the actor lied and cheated on his ex-wife.

“He’s the one who lied. He is the one who cheated. He is the home-wrecker. I don’t want to say I was innocent, but … I was lied to by a 33-year-old man when I was 21, fresh out of college. I feel like people tend to forget that,” she said.

Nevertheless, Shay revealed she regretted her decision to go public with Cibrian, adding that it was extremely immature and selfish.
