Added on May 14, 2025 inCelebrity News Cards

If you ever wondered what it looks like when family drama meets cosmic real talk, Savannah Chrisley’s latest podcast episode might just be your new favorite soap opera. With Mercury (the planet of communication) still doing its signature dance through retrograde land, is it any surprise Savannah’s setting some ironclad boundaries with her mom Julie, who’s currently doing time behind bars? As if federal fraud charges and prison sentences weren’t enough to toss into the cosmic blender, Savannah’s telling it straight—no rescue missions allowed when her parents get out. What’s even more tantalizing? She insists the whole family buckle up for an “intensive” therapy bootcamp to actually sort out their tangled mess. And let’s not forget that sisterly saga with Lindsie, where “family” seems to be as flexible as a Mercury-Neptune aspect on a good day. So, can therapy heal what’s been shattered, or are some stars just destined to stay out of alignment? Buckle up, because this family constellation is anything but dull. LEARN MORE.

On a recent episode of her podcast, “Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley,” the reality star spoke with her grandmother about what it would take for her family to heal from their recent challenges.

“When they come home, I have already told them that over the past two and a half years, and if they come home thinking they are going to rescue individuals and acting like nothing’s happened, then I’m out,” Savannah told her grandmother, Nanny Pam. “I have told them that. And Mama said, ‘That’s not happening.'”

Todd and Julie were convicted of several fraud charges in 2022 and were sentenced to a combined 19 years in federal prison.

Savannah, 27, stated that she told her parents their entire family will need to take part in an “intensive” therapy session to fully heal as a unit.

“And I told them, if we’re going to actually all come back together, there needs to be an intensive week-long therapy that we all go to and hash everything out,” she added. “Cause that’s the only way that anything is going to be resolved.”

Later, Savannah also opened up about the strained relationship some of her family members have with her oldest sister, Lindsie Chrisley.

The two sisters have been in a public feud since 2023. Since then, they’ve exchanged jabs during podcasts and interviews. Most recently, Lindsie seemingly took another shot when she explained how grateful she was for her chosen family, adding, “Your family is who you choose.”

“You don’t necessarily prioritize the people that God gave you, but you prioritize the relationships that add value to your life,” she said on her “Southern Tea” podcast. “And someone who you choose as family might not be blood related, but you consider them more family than your own family.”

In her episode with Nanny Pam, Savannah touched on her and Lindsie’s contentious relationship and echoed a similar viewpoint. “Just cause you’re my family, if you act a fool, that don’t mean I have to get along with you or be family with you,” she said.

Nanny Pam affirmed Savannah’s feelings; however, she also expressed her hope that one day they’d make their way back to each other.

Since beginning their federal prison sentences in 2023, the Chrisley family has been surrounded by much drama. Savannah and her older brother, Chase Chrisley, typically update the public about their parents through podcast episodes and Instagram posts.

In March 2025, Savannah shared the surprising news that her parents, who are currently at separate prisons in Kentucky and Florida, haven’t spoken to each other in “two years.”

“That’s been a challenge,” Savannah added, noting situations like this “should never happen.”

Savannah later blasted the prison system for complicating their routines, saying it made it “impossible” for her parents to connect.

“They don’t make anything easy,” Savannah stated.

Dealing with her incarcerated parents isn’t the only disappointment Savannah has endured lately. In April 2025, the “Chrisley Knows Best” star revealed on her podcast that she and her then-boyfriend, Robert Shiver, had officially broken up.

She later admitted that processing the split has been difficult since limiting her communication with him has been challenging, considering her close relationship with his children.

“I haven’t done a great job at [cutting him off]. Robert and I, we’ve gone a while without speaking, but something will pop up and we’ll check in for some odd reason. But we’re not talking every day. We’re not doing all of that,” she said.

Later, Savannah touched on the reason for her split from Robert, saying his soon-to-be ex-wife, Lindsay Shiver, caused too much trouble for them as a couple.

According to her, after Lindsay, who’s accused of plotting Robert’s murder, was released from a Bahamian prison and able to return to the United States, she ruined their “routines,” which was too stressful for Robert and his kids.

“It was a drama-free zone. Then, when she would come back to the U.S., not only did she come back, but the chaos came back with her,” she claimed. “It’s like she wanted to destroy everything in his path and her path. There was never any sense of care for another individual other than herself.”
