Sabrina Carpenter explained why she put Barry Keoghan in the music video for “Please Please Please,” despite largely keeping her romantic life private.
Barry took on the role of a crime-loving bad boy in the video this spring, accompanying the track in which Sabrina begs her partner not to embarrass her. Of course, Sabrina and Barry have been an item since late 2023 — though the exact details of the nature of their relationship have been kept quiet.

So, CBS News asked Sabrina why she decided to go for the public statement via the music video. She replied, “I, genuinely — like, a not-even-biased opinion — I was like, ‘Who’s the greatest actor that I can find for this music video?'”
“He was next to me in a chair and he was so excited about it,” she continued.
“He likes the song, which is great. He’s a fan of the song,” she added, noting that Barry “does like my music a lot, yeah.”
Another piece to the puzzle for the “on and off” couple, eh?
