Isn’t it curious how the cosmos aligns just as Sabrina Carpenter drops her new album Man’s Best Friend? With Mercury still doing its usual dance of mischief, communication is simultaneously clear and cryptic—kind of like Sabrina’s recent comments on Barry Keoghan. Sabrina Carpenter’s Rare Comments On Barry Keoghan

You probably also know that Sabrina just released her new album Man’s Best Friend — and as with any new pop album, there’s already been speculation as to who the new songs may be about.

During an interview with CBS Mornings, Sabrina was asked straight-up whether the lyrics on Man’s Best Friend are about Barry and their former relationship — and Sabrina gave something of an answer, sort of.

“I just wouldn’t say,” she said. “It’s more fun to picture the person in their head than the person I picture in my head, I think.”

Sabrina then went on to explain that, even if the songs were about Barry, she’s not necessarily to blame for writing about her personal life — and, y’know what, she made a pretty good point.

“I feel pretty transparent going into any of my relationships that I write songs,” she explained. “Most of the times they have been pretty flattered when they get a song about them, good or bad. I think they’re just excited to get a shoutout.”
