Ever wondered why Rob Kardashian, the famously elusive sibling of the Kardashian-Jenner dynasty, prefers the shadows to the spotlight? Well, it turns out there’s a deeper, more poignant reason behind his avoidance of public appearances. Fans of the original Keeping Up with the Kardashians might recall Rob’s quiet but memorable presence, especially during the Rob & Chyna days, before life’s twists and turns stepped him out of reality TV’s glaring lights. Born under the intense spotlight of familial fame and carrying the weight of being both a devoted dad to little Dream and the youngest child of the late Robert Kardashian and Kris Jenner, Rob’s retreat might just align with Mercury’s current retrograde—messing with communication and inner peace more than anyone’s comfort zones. His candid chat on Khloé’s podcast about choosing peace over exposure hits home for many of us craving authenticity over glam. So, what happens when you mix a Scorpio’s deep self-reflection with a dash of cosmic hesitation? You get a homebody who fiercely guards his peace and happiness… and honestly, who can blame him? Rob Kardashian has revealed the sad reason why he avoids being seen in public.
All of us Keeping Up with (RIP the original format) fans know well that the famous brother has long stayed out of the limelight, both on and off the iconic reality TV shows.
Rob is dad to eight-year-old Dream, whom he shares with Blac Chyna. One of the last times most of us will remember properly seeing the 38-year-old on telly was during the couple’s 2016 show, Rob & Chyna. But that also came to an end when the pair split at the end of that year.
He’s the fourth and youngest child of late dad Robert Kardashian and mum Kris Jenner of the Kardashian clan, but of course, he is also an older brother to half-sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

While Rob has had his fair share of business ventures over the years, we see more of what his daughter gets up to through family social media posts than himself.
But of course, he’s still very much a part of the Kardashian-Jenner fam.
Opting not to join his sisters on their newer reality series, The Kardashians, he did, however, recently pop up on an episode of Khloé’s podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land.
Again, as fans will know (is it clear yet that I am evidently one of those?), these two are particularly close, with Rob having lived with his sister and her ex-husband, Lamar Odom, back in the day.
She also is known to spend a lot of time with Dream.
During the podcast ep, Khloé was addressing the ‘craziest rumours’ about her family and herself as she called her brother to get his take.

She asked Rob if he thought it was weird that people still think they live together now.
“Not really, we lived together for a long time,” he said. “I mean, my daughter’s always at your house. It isn’t that crazy, but I don’ film a lot, so they [people] don’t see what we really do.”
Khloe then asked why he doesn’t as she mentioned how some people believe there’s some kind of ‘blowout’ between the siblings.
“There’s definitely nothing wrong between any of us,” Rob said. “It just had everything to do with myself.
“I don’t want to be filming and putting myself in a position where I’m not comfortable. Like, I’m not comfortable in my skin so why would I want to go be on camera and just be vulnerable and let people in when that’s not what I want to do.”
Rob went on to say he hasn’t ‘been comfortable’ with himself in ‘years’.
“And also,” he added. “Filming and doing all that, it’s not for everybody. And I choose my own happiness and peace rather than something for somebody who doesn’t do anything for me in my personal life.”
He did say that if it’s positive and he feels comfortable, he would ‘of course film’ as he loves being with his family. However, Rob’s a ‘homebody’ and chooses his ‘peace and happiness’ instead.
