Pluto in Your 1st House: Why Everyone’s Suddenly Staring—and You Can’t Hide It (Even If You Want To)

Added on October 14, 2025 inASTROLOGY CARDS

Ever wonder what it’s like when Pluto crashes your first house party and decides to redecorate your entire life? Yeah, me too—especially after spending years submerged in Pluto’s 12th house shadows, feeling like a submarine lost in endless cosmic fog. When Pluto finally strutted across my ascendant in 2021, I thought, “Finally, some control!” Spoiler alert: control came with a side of major discomfort, especially for a Libra who’d rather keep things on the down-low. Now, armed with a rapidly transforming body and a newfound lone wolf vibe (not that I asked for it), I’m navigating the tricky dance of Pluto juggling my first, seventh, fourth, and tenth houses—all the usual suspects who like to run the show. If Pluto’s setting up shop in your first house too, you know this is no light stroll in the zodiac park. Ready to dive in and see how deep this rabbit hole really goes? LEARN MORE

I took extensive notes during Pluto’s transit of my 12th house, realizing there so little out there on the topic. Transiting Pluto crossed my ascendant into my first house in 2021. I’m continuing this project out of habit, I guess.

I was initially thrilled to begin this transit as Pluto in the 12th had me feeling like a submarine, navigating the deep waters of the collective shadow, which are apparently, endless. I experienced pain with no edges; unlimited and relentless. I looked forward to Pluto entering a Cardinal house which I felt would allow me to have some control. Pluto is now roughly six degrees into my first. It’s established itself, for good or ill, whether I like it or not.

I was right about the control. I can now direct my energy. Problem is, this is not the energy I prefer to project. Libra has a problem with it.  My 8th house has a problem with it as well. I prefer to live uncover to a large extent.  I was born with a poker face and now look!

It took me a year to overcome the shock of this.  People with natal Pluto in the first are broadly seen as, “lone wolves”, which is something I would never choose. I’ve been conscripted into this, I assure you. But that doesn’t matter. I need to adapt!

Currently I’m grappling with the effects of this transit on the other Cardinal houses.  There’s me (first), the other (7th), my family (4th) and my job or public image (10th).  These are things people like to control. Stick an outer planet in the equation and now what?

Currently, my physical body (1st) is healing (Pluto) rapidly and expectedly (Aquarius). The secret here, is that my transformation has been fueled by the negative energy of others.  It’s my old standard, “Stab me and I get your knife.

I know that some of you can feel the truth of what I’m saying. I’m glad to understand this so well, at this stage, as this is a very long transit.

Is Pluto transiting your 1st house? How’s it going?
