In a world where we’ve swapped our mental gymnastics for the convenience of a touchscreen, have we unwittingly signed up for a slow existential decline? That’s the crux of the conversation surrounding the astronomical transition of Pluto into Aquarius. Since I first dipped my toes into this topic back in 2015, I imagined the impact would be stark—but good grief, it’s worse than I ever could’ve envisioned! We’ve been sold the narrative that technology, particularly AI, is here to free us, giving us more time to be creative and inventive. But hang on a minute; what’s happening instead? With each new gadget and algorithm, we’re finding ourselves less capable of harnessing our own creativity as we become dependent on the very machines meant to enhance our lives. I can’t help but feel we’re running into an alarming paradox here. Are we really connecting with each other and ourselves—or are we just becoming obsolete shadows navigating a digital landscape? Let’s dig into this thought-provoking issue and see where our internal compasses lead us. If you’re intrigued, this deep dive awaits! LEARN MORE
I started writing about Pluto in Aquarius in 2015. I thought this transit would be quite stark. It’s already worse than I imagined.
I expected this transit to kill creativity. I understand there is a counternarrative, and tons of pushback against anyone or anything not onboard with the so-called “progress.” Still, I’ll make my case.
We are, in fact, human beings, and very well designed. We can walk, think, talk, feel, imagine, heal, assist, sleep, dream, connect, invent; the list goes on and on. The problem is, a person’s skills degrade when they’re not utilized. The truth of this is obvious.
We’re told AI will free our time so we have more time to be creative, but in reality, the more we use these tools, the more we kill ourselves, and I will explain.
I live in an area where GPS was faulty until just recently. I wanted to go to town on the backroads. Most of the roads have no signs. This left me to look at the map and then drive the route from memory and “feel.” I have these internal functions, and I trust them.
I’m saying I have an internal “GPS.” Consequently, I had no qualms about driving to town on ten miles of dirt roads with little jigs and jags and no cell coverage. Me: SYSTEM OPERATIONAL.
I don’t know, but I suspect if you’ve done nothing but rely on a device all your life, your internal navigation system will not develop properly. In my world, I call that 0 to 1 in favor of the machine.
Consider, the same internal system warns me of danger. I drive, connected to the divine. I am a spiritual being with my guardian angel on board. Do I really want to thwart this?
If you sit and watch people run or otherwise move around on TV, but never get up and do anything yourself, the systems that allow you to do those things rot in the background. YOU rot in the background.
So now we have AI, and we have the option to literally watch it think. Don’t think yourself! Oh hell no. Let that machine work and allow you to feel you’re its master (ha ha). And what do you think happens to your mental facilities?
It will not take long for this to be the only option to acquire information, as your human brain shrinks and you become more and more dependent. Go ask the big poobah what you should do or think.
By now, it should be clear to most that social media has not enhanced people or society in general. From my perspective, the effects have been devastating. Many people are no longer able to generate their own creative or original ideas. I wonder if this is why there is so much whining. You’ve been hacked, and something of great value has been taken from you.
Others wake up at times to realize they’ve been influenced in ways that jack their life. Most commonly, this is shown to me by both men and women who absorbed the destructive messaging around relationships. This has caused them to act in ways that thwart rather than support their relationships.
Great! Your soul, your body, and your mind sacrificed to technology, and on top of that, you have to sit in a room alone.
But no problem! Ask the machine how to deal with your loneliness. It can recommend you buy a companion on Amazon.com!
Pull back from the machine, if you can. This, before it consumes you, your life, and all of your potential.
