After 16 long years of sibling silence, the Gallagher brothers stormed back onto the stage for Oasis’s reunion tour kickoff in Cardiff — a cosmic cocktail of raw emotions and barely concealed tension. With the Sun sizzling in Cancer, moods ran as high as the packed Principality Stadium, yet fans couldn’t help but wonder: are Noel and Liam truly on speaking terms, or is this reunion more like Mercury in retrograde—full of mixed signals and awkward withdrawals? As Liam made a swift exit beside the roaring crowd while Noel meandered off on foot, the age-old question buzzed louder than the amps: can fractured family ties really mend overnight, or are we witnessing a masterclass in controlled chaos? It’s clear these two are navigating their own celestial dance, carefully orbiting each other without collision, nestled in separate hotels to preserve the fragile peace. Intrigued? LEARN MORE.
Oasis fans have been left questioning if Noel and Liam Gallagher are actually speaking following their opening gigs.
After 16 years since we last witnessed them perform together, the brothers are finally back on stage as a band with the reunion tour kicking off in Cardiff on Friday (4 July).
And it’s fair to say it was an emotional one – with some even thinking Noel shed a tear himself.
But with things having been, well, let’s say heated between the pair over the years, some fans aren’t totally convinced it’s all sunshine and rainbows now.
Following the Cardiff show, fans spotted Liam’s getaway arrangements as it’s joked that he left his brother behind.
Directly beside the stage, as the Oasis crowd were still applauding, the ‘Slide Away’ singer got into a car and was off.

Seeming to leave the Principality Stadium separately, he was quickly followed by Noel who headed to the exit on foot, applauding back at fans.
And as the video does the rounds on social media, one fan wrote: “I’m still questioning if Liam and Noel acc speak to each other.”
“They’re clearly being kept separated,” another suggested, as a second added: “I still don’t think the brothers get along.”
While another wrote: “They have probably spent every day for last ¾ months rehearsing together, he probably just had somewhere to be for God sake! So he got in a car and went before Noel… big deal!”
To be fair, it is a pretty standard practice nowadays for stadium gigs that the artist leaves the place in a car from beside the stage but obviously, it’s more notable here that the brothers aren’t heading off as a pair.
Adding to that, it’s reported that they have stayed in separate hotels in Cardiff for the sake of their relationship.
A source told The Sun: “The lead up has all been carefully orchestrated, as everyone knows how delicate and fragile Liam and Noel’s relationship is.
“They don’t want to over-expose themselves to each other.”

It’s said that staying in separate places ‘is the best option’ so they are able to relax in their own space.
“They’re happy families at the moment and they want to keep it that way,” the source added.
“Everyone’s been really impressed — they’re determined to stay focused on making the magic happen on stage.”
It was previously discussed that having a long, spaced out tour with numerous dates at the same large venues mean the brothers can get plenty of that space with their own dressing rooms and residences – as well as being able to stay at their own properties between shows.
Noel and Liam’s reps declined LADbible’s request for comment.
