Neil Young has been confirmed to be headlining Glastonbury despite ‘dropping out’ just days prior to the announcement.
Young said on Friday, January, 3, that he would be withdrawing from the billing.
The singer claimed this was due to the BBC ‘wanting us to do a lot of things in a way we were not interested in’, accusing the event of being under ‘corporate control’.
He said in a statement released today: “Due to an error in the information received, I had decided to not play the Glastonbury festival, which I always have loved.

Emily Eavis, the co-promoter of the Glastonbury festival, took to Instagram to confirm that, not only is Neil Young coming back – but he is going to be headlining the festival.
She posted the below picture on Instagram with the caption: “What a start to the year! Neil Young is an artist who’s very close to our hearts at Glastonbury.
“He does things his own way and that’s why we love him. We can’t wait to welcome him back here to headline the Pyramid in June”.
