Ne-Yo and Akon announce huge UK tour but fans are disappointed with venue choice

Ne-Yo and Akon have teamed up for the 2026 Nights Like This world tour and tickets are available from 10am tomorrow via Seat Unique, Live Nation, and Ticketmaster.

In case you missed it, the musical legends have confirmed an impressive 57 dates with six shows lined in the UK and Ireland.

Kicking off in April, the duo will stop by huge venues including Newcastle’s Utilita Arena, London’s O2, and Manchester’s Co-op Live.

Described as a ‘smooth, elevated live experience filled with timeless records and unforgettable moments’, fans can expect to hear club classics live such as Closer, Smack That, and Lonely.

But some fans are disappointed by the choice of venues.

“Where’s the Cardiff date?” one asked on Instagram.

Another added, “Clearly not every city. Cardiff missed out again!”

“It’s not every city though, is it?” a third shared. “Why is Cardiff never on the list?!”

A Welsh date has not yet been confirmed.

Presale for Ne-Yo and Akon’s UK tour starts at 10am on Thursday, January 29 via Live Nation and Ticketmaster. You can sign up for presale here.

General sale opens at 10am on Friday, January 30 via Live Nation, and Ticketmaster. Standard ticket prices have not been confirmed.

Where are Ne-Yo and Akon performing in the UK and Ireland this year?

There are seven opportunities for fans to be a part of the crowd in the UK and Ireland this year.

The musical duo will kick things off in Dublin on April 24, before heading to the likes of Newcastle, Glasgow, Leeds, and Manchester.

Your last chance to dance the night away is at London’s O2 on May 8.
