The reported real reason why Mickey Rourke was axed from Celebrity Big Brother has been revealed.
It comes days after the Golden Globe winner received a formal warning over ‘further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour.’
On Saturday evening (12 April), a spokesperson for the ITV show confirmed in a statement that the 72-year-old ‘has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother.’
During a task on Saturday, Rourke reportedly used threatening and aggressive language towards Love Island‘s Chris Hughes.
The Sun reports that the housemates were dressed up as pirates and the actor was left unimpressed when Hughes ‘threw him a side eye.’
“Mickey didn’t like Chris disrespecting him with the side eye and went for him with loads of smack talk,” a source told the outlet.
“On this occasion it was offensive, threatening and aggressive.
“However it didn’t get physical and security nor producers did not need to intervene.
“Mickey was called to the diary room and in discussion about his ongoing bad behaviour, he agreed to leave.”
Another source claimed that Rourke will not receive his full reported fee of £500,000 after he said of JoJo Siwa that he would ‘vote the lesbian out real quick.’

The Hollywood star told the 21-year-old singer: “If I stay longer than four days, you won’t be gay any more.”
Hughes, 32, then told Rourke that ‘you can’t say that’ after the actor said he needed ‘a f*g’ and added to Siwa: “I’m not talking to you.”
“Mickey won’t be receiving all his money from ITV,” the source said.
“If a celebrity gets removed from the house, they don’t get the full fee. It’s as simple as that and they will be discussing that with him.
Rourke reportedly won’t be paid in full for his time on the show (ITV)
“Mickey was ready to leave the house and it ended up feeling like a mutual decision between him and ITV in the end. It was getting too much.”
The former boxer, who was nominated for an Oscar for 2008 film The Wrestler, was reportedly worrying the production team throughout the show.
During Friday’s (11 April) episode, Rourke left Eastenders star Patsy Palmer in tears after criticising her cooking.
“The production team are concerned Mickey is going to push it too far. He’s completely off the scale in the house and he’s not calming down,” the source claimed.
“Mickey has also been threatening to break down the fire door to get out. They’re at their wits’ end with his antics.”
