Isn’t it wild how life’s twists—like a neck surgery—can align with cosmic shifts to bring unexpected clarity and calm? With Pluto prowling the first house, signaling deep transformation, and Jupiter flexing its health muscles in the sixth, I’m riding this celestial wave as my own mast cell battles finally take a breather. Imagine ditching those pesky “dumping” symptoms and trading racing thoughts for restful nights—all while mastering the fine art of histamine warfare with trusty allies like Pepcid AC and Allegra. It’s like the stars themselves are cheering on my quest to keep the “teenagers” (mast cells) chill, and for once, the anxiety doesn’t stand a chance. Curious how an H1 and H2 blocker tag team can rewrite your health story? Dive into the tactics and a neat little secret about DAO enzyme doses that might just save your wallet while saving your sanity. LEARN MORE
The acute phase of my neck surgery is behind me. I noticed I no longer suffer the “dumping” symptoms when I take cromolyn. My “teenagers” are chill.
I continue to sleep well. I never gorge on cookies due to stress, because I am no longer stressed… ever!
My daily mission is to defeat histamine / mast cells, because life is amazing, without that interference. Everything I have done has been to this end. With my neck locked down; I think it’s beautiful. I can now hit the finer points.
I have added, Pepcid AC, at night.
For Acute Anxiety/Heartburn: Keep Famotidine (Pepcid AC) 20mg at your bedside. This is an H2 blocker that works on stomach acid (heartburn) but also crosses the blood-brain barrier and can have a calming effect on anxiety driven by histamine. If you wake up with heartburn or racing thoughts, you can take this.
This combines with Allegra:
H1 Receptors: Targeted by Allegra (Fexofenadine). Found in the nose, skin, lungs, and brain. Blocking them helps with allergies, itching, and some anxiety.
H2 Receptors: Targeted by Pepcid (Famotidine). Found in the stomach, heart, blood vessels, and immune cells. Blocking them reduces acid, can stabilize heart rate, and modulates the immune system by preventing histamine from activating certain white blood cells.
By taking both an H1 and an H2 blocker, you are providing a more complete “histamine blockade” than with either one alone. This is a well-established strategy in MCAS treatment.
Quercetin and Cromolyn also target mast cells. I am hitting this every way I can, because this what causes every problem I have!
It’s interesting to note, these agents attack mast cells from different angles. One penetrates, the other smothers. I think, “ketotifen”, which I can’t access, does both.
I have also added, DAO enzyme which was recommended from the beginning, but I just had too much flying around. It is wonderful, but expensive, which is the reason I am posting today.
A typical dose of of DAO enzyme is 50,000 HDU. Some brands offer 60,000 HDU per pill. But NaturDao offers, 1,000,000 HDC at the same cost!
This means you can split the pill in quarters and get 250,000 HDU, which is two and a half times what you need. You’re welcome!
