Added on February 13, 2025 inMusic News Cards

In the wild world of social media, drama unfolds quicker than a cheap horror flick, and who better to deliver a punchline than Marlon Wayans? When rapper Soulja Boy hurled a homophobic slur toward Wayans’ son, Kai, in a tweet that was as uncalled for as it was predictable, Marlon wasted no time in firing back. If there’s one thing we know, it’s that the Wayans family knows how to handle their business—and they do it with a sense of humor. But seriously, in an age where celebrity culture often seems endlessly convoluted, shouldn’t we be advocating love and respect instead of slinging insults? Or are we just stuck in a loop as predictable as a sitcom’s laugh track? Let’s dive into the exchange that has everyone talking, sprinkling a little levity onto a serious subject along the way. You won’t want to miss Marlon’s witty comebacks! For the full scoop, click here to LEARN MORE.

Soulja Boy took to X to attack Marlon Wayans’ eldest son Kai and the Scary Movie actor wasted no time hitting back

Warning: This article contains discussion of discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community which some readers may find distressing.

Scary Movie star Marlon Wayans has hit back at Soulja Boy after the rapper attacked his son using a homophobic slur.

Wayans has already spoken out against Elon Musk after the Tesla CEO said his child was ‘dead’ to him after he transitioned.

And now the actor’s taken to social media to respond to Soulja Boy – real name DeAndre Cortez Way – after the rapper took to his keyboard to attack Wayans and his transgender son.

Soulja Boy took to Twitter responding to two articles about Wayans supporting his transgender son – Wayans sharing two sons Kai and Shawn with ex Angela Zackery and the actor revealing on The Breakfast Club his eldest son Kai is transgender and uses he/ they pronouns.

Soulja Boy wrote: “That f****t s**t run in the family huh? @MarlonWayans no wonder u like dressing up as a b***h it’s in ur blood.”

And it didn’t take long for Wayans to take to Twitter himself yesterday to respond.

Sharing a screenshot of the above before writing: “If @souljaboy

had a career he could get cancelled for this type of slander. Luckily he ain’t been relevant since 2007.”

*Mic drop*

And apparently the AI assistant bot – developed by Musk’s company xAI and launched in 2023 – Grok agrees with the sentiment too.

A button is located under the post reading: “When was Soulja Boy last relevant?”

The answer according to Grok? “Soulja Boy was last relevant in 2007 when he achieved his first number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with ‘Crank That (Soulja Boy)’.”

Touche.

Alas, rather than just leaving his response at that and walking away with his head held high, Wayans got a bit keyboard happy.

He tweeted: “Hey @souljaboy. My child had top surgery and still has more chest than you.”

Wayans then shared a TMZ video captioned: “Exclusive. Marlon Wayans Soulja Boy beef’s inspiring new ‘Scary Movie’ role… Need a ‘Creth-Head’!!!”

He added: “Say less… back to writing another classic SCARY 6 SUMMER 2026. And @souljaboy you can go back to… hmmm??? Irrelevancy?”

Add in another image shared by Wayans allegedly of a ‘before and after’ of Soulja Boy’s teeth and various other comments and well, Wayans certainly hasn’t been holding back.
