Ever notice how sometimes life throws you these cosmic curveballs that make you question everything—like, whose baby is this really? Well, Khloé Kardashian found herself in one heck of a zodiac-worthy drama when she spotted her son looking uncannily like her younger brother Rob. Cue the triple DNA tests because, honestly, in a family as tangled as the stars in a Scorpio’s birth chart, you gotta make sure nothing’s amiss! From dating the ever-scrutinized NBA star Tristan Thompson, through heartbreaks and public scandals, to choosing surrogacy under medical advice that screamed caution—Khloé’s journey to confirm paternity felt like navigating Mercury in retrograde: confusing, dramatic, and absolutely necessary. And just when you think the story couldn’t get any more “Kardashian cosmic,” her son’s dead ringer resemblance to her late father added that sweet sprinkle of destiny and divine humor. If the stars align this strangely for Khloé, perhaps we all should question: what secrets are hidden in those family genes—and are they written in the stars?

Khloé Kardashian wasn’t taking any chances when it came to confirming the identity of her child’s father.
After noticing that her son bears a ‘freaking weird’ resemblance to her younger brother Rob, the reality star conducted three DNA tests to ensure there hadn’t been a mortifying mix up.
For those who don’t keep up with Khloé’s complicated love life, let us fill you in on how she ended up here.
The 41-year-old revealed she was dating basketball star Tristan Thompson in September 2016 and by December the following year, they were expecting their first child.
Their daughter True, now seven, was born in April 2018 – but during Khloé’s pregnancy and far beyond that, allegations that her other half was being unfaithful continuously reared their head.
In early 2019, their relationship went kaput after it emerged that Tristan had locked lips with a longtime family friend of the Kardashian clan, Jordyn Woods.
After a very messy and public break up, they ended up giving things another go in 2020. Khloé then announced that she and Tristan were planning on having a second child together.

During the final season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, she told fans that medics had advised her that it would ‘not be smart’ if she carried the baby, so she decided to go down the surrogate route.
The mother-of-two told viewers: “A few months ago, Tristan and I made embryos, and during that time I was also told that I would not be smart if I carried my second pregnancy, I would be high risk and to explore surrogacy options.
“So, Tristan and I have decided that’s what we’re going to do. I have a surrogate agent who is, you know, sort of filtering through who they think might be the best fit for me and my family.”
Tristan added: “It is a big commitment, and you want to find the right fit, but we got this new chapter, we’ve got this together, we’re a team.”
Weeks later, it emerged that the NBA star, 34, was fathering a child with personal trainer Maralee Nichols, which seemed to be the final nail in the coffin for his and Khloé’s relationship.
However, the pair still proceeded with their plans to have another kid and their son Tatum was welcomed into the world in July 2022.
But when he arrived via surrogate, Khloé couldn’t help but notice that the tot ‘doesn’t look like’ either herself of Tristan.

The Good American co-founder instead thought that her baby boy ‘looks just like her brother’ Rob – and she jumped to a terrible conclusion as a result.
During an appearance on the SHE MD podcast with Dr. Thais Aliabadi and Mary Alice Haney in May 2024, Khloé explained she had to ask her sibling if he had ‘ever donated sperm somewhere’.
Discussing the ‘freaking weird’ resemblance between Rob and Tatum, she said: “My son looks just like my brother.
“Because he was an IVF baby or a surrogate baby, I was like, ‘Rob, have you ever donated sperm somewhere?’
“In this family, that would not surprise me,” she joked. “But that would be so disgusting!
“But I remember she [her doctor] was like, ‘You’ve already done a DNA test!’ I go, ‘I need to do another one, I need to figure it out.'”

To ensure that her brother hadn’t accidentally been involved in the baby-making process, Khloé ordered Tristan to take numerous paternity tests to confirm he was Tatum’s dad.
“I made Tristan do three DNA tests for Tatum,” Khloé told the SHE MD hosts. “He was so offended.”
Thankfully, these tests confirmed that the basketball player is Tatum’s biological father – and it seems that the Kardashian genes are just seriously strong.
Khloé went on to say that her toddler also really reminds her of her late father, Robert Kardashian Sr, who passed away in September 2003 at the age of 59.
The mum said: “[Tatum] is sarcastic, and my dad had a really dry, silly, just crazy sense of humour, and there’s glimmers of my dad in Tatum, and I’m like this is so freaking weird, but it’s just how God works. And I love it!”
