Katy Perry has now officially confirmed her relationship with Justin Trudeau after sharing an intimate photo of them.
The Roar singer called off her engagement to Orlando Bloom earlier this year, with the pair focusing on the co-parenting of their five-year-old daughter, Daisy. While it initially appeared to be an amicable decision, the 41-year-old musician did later seem to fire some shots at her former fiancé with one of her latest songs.
They had made a joint statement via their representatives, which suggested that the couple were ‘shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting‘.
It added: “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is – and always will be – raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
It’s been a busy year for Perry, of course, after her trip into space earlier this year as part of Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin project, and the pop superstar certainly knows how to mix it with the bigwigs, as her relationship with Justin Trudeau now appears to be blossoming.
Although they had been spotted together on a few occasions in recent months, fans got their first proper glimpse of them together after a visit to Tokyo, where they met with Japanese politician Fumio Kishida.
After he shared a cheeky photo alongside the now celebrity couple, Trudeau had no option but to share a comment of his own about his new (Tru)beau.

He said: “Great to see you @kishida230. Katy and I were so glad to have the chance to sit down with you and Yuko.
“Thank you, Fumio, for your friendship and your continued commitment to both the international rules-based order and to a better future for everyone.”
Perry wasn’t about to be outshone, and she’s now taken to social media to share an update of their blossoming relationship in the land of the cherry blossoms.
She shared a series of photos and videos, many of which included the former prime minister of Canada, while simply writing: “Tokyo times on tour and more.”
Fans of the performer seem to be loving this new relationship, judging by some of the comments on her Instagram page.
One fan wrote: “The way they look at each other in the 4th slide,” followed by a series of heart emojis.
Another commented: “I just know that Justin is the new MINISTER of her Heart, and we are SO HAPPY FOR THAT!”
A third penned: “If you’re happy, I’m happy for you too… You deserve all the happiness in the world.”
Trudeau may have to do a lot to live up to Perry’s swashbuckling former partner, however, given she’d previously described him as a ‘wild stallion’ in the bedroom.
