Justin Timberlake’s Concerts Spark Viral Meltdown — Fans Beg: “Can He Please Just Sing for Once?”

Added on July 24, 2025 inMusic News Cards

So, here’s a mind-bender for ya: what if Justin Timberlake’s live shows have turned into an elaborate cosmic joke, where the star’s vocal cords are in retrograde, totally MIA? While the Forget Tomorrow World Tour officially called it quits back in February, JT’s still crisscrossing the globe with a series of concerts that seem to double as silent discos — and fans are losing their minds. Videos are going viral, but not for the usual reasons; it’s less ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling!’ and more ‘Can’t Stop the Silence!’ Seriously, you’d think the guy’s channeling Mercury in retrograde so hard he forgot he’s supposed to actually sing. Is it artistry? A new performance style born under the influence of today’s starry skies? Or just pure, unfiltered laziness? Whatever the reason, crowd reactions are straight-up begging for some actual vocals — and boy, does the internet have thoughts (and receipts). Buckle up, because Justin’s on-stage ghosting his own hits, and it’s a spectacle you just have to see. LEARN MORE

Justin Timberlake Doesn’t Sing During Live Shows

While Justin Timberlake’s Forget Tomorrow World Tour may have officially wrapped in February, the 44-year-old star is still on the road amid his 27-date string of one-off concerts and festival appearances across the globe.

However, fans have been left disappointed by Justin’s efforts at these shows, with the star going viral for his “go girl, give us nothing” stage presence.

In multiple videos from various concerts, Justin can be seen hardly singing as he instead encourages the crowd to perform for him. In fact, Justin barely sings more than a handful of words throughout.

In a clip from his Romania show on July 17, the opening beat for his 2016 hit “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” starts playing, and Justin sings three words of the opening line before holding the mic out to the audience.

“I got this,” he begins, with the star concealed by a hooded jacket due to the rainy weather. Justin doesn’t sing again for 20 seconds, where he delivers the first three words of the second verse, “I got that,” and dances awkwardly in one spot.

There’s a video of Justin doing the exact same thing at his Denmark concert on June 14, and again in Ireland on June 28 — although this time, he sang the opening three words and then pointedly put his microphone down on the stage and walked away from it.

And if you’re wondering, “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” is not the only song that Justin gives this energy for, with videos from various other songs on his setlist showing a similar situation. One disappointed concertgoer captioned their video of Justin performing “Cry Me A River” with: “Justin ‘I didn’t know I was supposed to sing at a concert’ Timberlake,” and the video certainly suggests exactly that.

And when someone commented on the viral TikTok to claim that it had been cut “just when he was about to sing,” the original TikToker replied with the receipts.

Needless to say, people have been quick to roast the star in the comments of these viral TikToks, with one comment that has over 84,000 likes reading: “I want a refund and I didn’t even go😭”

Justin himself has not addressed the conversation surrounding his recent performances, and BuzzFeed has contacted his rep for comment.
