As the couple relish their freedom from prison following a presidential pardon, their children are set to pick them up from their different holding cells. Savannah and Grayson Chrisley will reportedly head to Florida and Kentucky, respectively, to bring their parents home after two years away.
PEOPLE confirmed that Savannah is on duty to fetch Todd from his Florida cell, while Grayson will be ferrying their mother, Julie, home from her Kentucky prison.
That is not all, there is an icing on the cake of the couple’s release from jail. As stipulated under federal law, a presidential pardon has the effect of canceling any unpaid restitution owed by a prisoner.

This means that the Chrisleys, who were ordered to repay more than $17 million in restitution, are no longer obligated to pay the remaining amount. According to TMZ, their lawyer has indicated that while the couple has repaid some of the restitution, they have not yet paid all of it.

Days before the sudden news of their release, producers planned to bring the couple on board and have them appear in the family’s upcoming reality television show, scheduled to air later this year.
Last week, The Blast shared that Lifetime announced the new project featuring the Chrisley family, set to premiere in a few months. However, the show was not going to include visuals of the family’s patriarch and matriarch while they are in jail due to strict regulations.
They would have showcased their phone conversations with their children and family members. Production is already underway, with Savannah and her brother Chase serving as executive producers.
According to reports, the upcoming show will offer an in-depth look into the lives of the Chrisleys since their parents began serving their sentences three years ago. With their release from prison, the show will undoubtedly offer more depth, as the parents will appear live.

Savannah has previously declared that Todd and Julie’s political affiliations made them targets, hence their incarceration. She expressed her belief in an interview on May 17, claiming that her parents’ fame played a role in their legal troubles.
She turned the pages to the Democratic prosecutors in Fulton County, Georgia, suggesting a personal vendetta against her family overrode their initial reluctance to prosecute.
Savannah detailed the lengthy process that led to a federal indictment, which took nine years. She added that the outcome of the case was reportedly influenced by prosecutors who had previously donated to Democratic candidates.
During the trial, prosecutors reportedly referred to her family as the “Trumps of the South,” and Savannah revealed a disturbing detail where her father’s face was even displayed on a dartboard in their office.
In addition to these challenges, Savannah had earlier discussed the significant communication issues between her parents in March. Back then, she shared that Todd and Julie had not spoken to each other in over two years due to their separation in different prisons.
She blamed the operation of the prison system for its lack of communication and emphasized that no one should have to endure such a reality.
With her parents’ release, Savannah Chrisley has proven that tenacity indeed pays off!
