Jessie J’s Lungs Are Throwing a Liquid Party—And No One RSVPed! What’s Really Going On Inside the Star?

Jessie J, that indomitable Aries firecracker, has stirred the pot again—this time with a health update that’s equal parts courageous and candid. Just when we thought she’d taken her final bow before her breast cancer treatment, she pops back up, hospital arm and all, not with a cancer scare but a pesky little fluid situation in her lungs. Can you imagine the cosmic irony? An Aries, always charging ahead like a fire-breathing T-Rex, now being politely told by her own body to “slow the hell down.” It’s like the universe has handed her a gentle, albeit sassy, cease-and-desist order. Raising a toddler, battling health hurdles, and still promising to come back “with massive t*ts and more music”—if that’s not grit wrapped in humor, what is? Let’s just say, Jessie’s journey is a vivid reminder that sometimes, even the fiercest have to pause and recalibrate. LEARN MORE

Jessie J has provided a health update to her fans as she showed them she was back in hospital, though she’s since discharged herself again.

The singer had previously had to go in for treatment, telling fans back in June that she was ‘going to disappear for a bit‘ and explained that she had been diagnosed with early breast cancer.

She stressed the word ‘early’ and promised that she would return ‘with massive t*ts and more music’, which is very much a positive attitude, and on 15 June at a Wembley gig she said it’d be her last show before she had to ‘go and beat breast cancer’.

Now she’s returned to hospital as she shared on her Instagram Stories ‘how I spent the last 24 hours’ accompanied by a picture of her arm hooked up to medical implements.

Fortunately it wasn’t for something related to the cancer as Jessie J instead explained that she had ‘a little fluid on my lungs’.

“Six weeks post surgery and I was back in the same ward I was after my surgery. Not expected or planned,” the singer explained.

“I had and still have symptoms that pointed towards a blood clot on the lung, it is not a blood clot thank god.

“They ran a lot of tests, which ended up showing I have an infection (still trying to figure out what) and a little fluid on my lungs.

“Finding it hard to breathe in, but I discharged myself last night (I hate being in hospital) and will continue the investigation as an outpatient.”

That means she’s back out of hospital again as Jessie J said it had been ‘the most challenging time’ for her as she was raising a toddler and it was ‘frustrating’ because she was ‘excited to do it all’ and health issues were getting in the way.

The singer gave birth to son Sky Safir Cornish Colman in 2023.

She added that she was taking this as a ‘reminder to myself to slow tf down’, as though she felt she was already going at a slow pace she felt her body and immune system were telling her ‘sit down d**khead’.

“As an ADHD Aries, fire breathing dragon t-rex, I can do it myself, I’m always ok woman. That slow pace has been a hard reality to accept to be honest,” Jessie J continued.

“I love moving and working and being up and active but I can’t be right now, and that’s what it is, and I am finding the strength knowing that all can be adjusted to align with a slower pace and the support of my very small inner support circle.”

The signer was diagnosed with a heart condition when she was eight, while she suffered a minor stroke when she was 18 and briefly went deaf in 2020.
