Jesse Williams‘ estranged Wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, comes in hot with a rebuttal at her husband’s previous filing!

The actor’s ex is back to defend herself against the judge’s verdict over the custody of their children, which saw her ex go home with sole legal custody. Now, she is faulting the judgment and requesting a review.

Jesse Williams’ ex, Aryn Drake-Lee, filed the declaration on May 12, where she slammed the actor and the judge presiding over their bitter divorce battle.

The actor’s ex-wife has returned to court following accusations from the Grey’s Anatomy star that she violated a court order. In her recent declaration, she expressed concerns about being stripped of legal custody, claiming the court infringed on her parental rights.

Drake-Lee argued that the decision to award sole custody to her ex-husband was made without any evidentiary hearings, stating that there were no substantial facts or evidence presented to justify this serious action.

She emphasized that the ruling was based solely on hearsay and violated her rights under California law and the U.S. Constitution.

Additionally, Drake-Lee contended that her children are held as “protected property” within a private trust, suggesting that the court lacks the authority to make decisions regarding their well-being.

As noted by In Touch, Drake-Lee asserted that any state interference with their mental, physical, or emotional health, without due process or immediate threat of harm, breaches the trust.

In her filing, she urged the court to reconsider the order that granted sole legal custody to her ex-husband and to restore her legal rights, while also requesting that the court cease any further orders concerning the children.

In March, a Los Angeles judge granted Williams sole legal custody regarding medical decisions for their children. However, earlier this month, he filed an emergency motion alleging that his ex-partner, Drake-Lee, was not adhering to this court order.

He claimed she obstructed a healthcare treatment for one of their kids by aggressively communicating with the child’s doctor, stating she did not consent to the treatment and threatening to sue if he proceeded.

The actor expressed his concern in his filing, stating that he could not secure necessary healthcare for their children unless the court issued orders to prevent Drake-Lee from interfering. He recounted an incident where the doctor, taken aback by the situation, asked them to leave after apologizing to Williams.

As they left, their children innocently inquired about their mother’s behavior, questioning whether they had been “kicked out.” Ultimately, on May 6, the judge ruled prohibiting Drake-Lee from interfering with their child’s medical procedure.

As The Blast shared, late last year, Williams filed court documents seeking to modify the custody arrangement for his two children with his ex, aiming for a 50/50 custody split.

In his motion, he emphasized his strong bond with his kids, stating that they often express how much they enjoy their time with him and even ask to stay longer.

To facilitate smoother transitions, he moved closer to Drake-Lee, just 15 minutes away, yet he still found the frequent transitions challenging for the children.

Although Aryn did not oppose giving Williams more time with the kids, she raised concerns about them being cared for by third parties and insisted on having custody if the actor were out of town.

Drake-Lee accused the TV star and his legal team of bullying during their divorce proceedings, alleging he made threats to take her to court if she did not comply with his demands. 

She voiced her belief that her ex’s requests often served his own interests rather than those of their children, claiming they jeopardized the children’s mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

Williams also appeared in court for a hearing against his ex-wife, during which he sought information about her new boyfriend, Peace Reedburg. 

His concern stemmed from discovering that Reedburg had access to their two children without his prior knowledge. However, the judge denied his request for details about Reedburg.

Despite this setback, Williams achieved a significant victory in the custody battle, obtaining full legal custody over his children’s healthcare.

The court also required him to keep Drake-Lee informed about their children’s health, education, and overall well-being, bringing a positive resolution to their legal matters.

Amid their escalating custody battle, Williams accused his ex-wife of withholding an Apple Watch he had gifted to their daughter. The judge intervened, ordering Drake-Lee to return the watch within 48 hours, which was a victory for Williams in the ongoing proceedings. 

Williams has expressed his deep love for his children throughout the case and emphasized the importance of equal custodial time.

He also outlined several instances of alleged wrongdoing by his ex-wife, including claims that she withheld their children’s passports and removed them from school on days he was supposed to have them.

Williams and Drake-Lee were in a five-year relationship before eventually getting married in 2012. Proud parents to two children, Sadie and Maceo, their union hit the rocks 8 years after saying “I Do” in 2020.
