Is it just me, or did the stars misalign at the Golden Globes this year? Jennifer Lopez—our dazzling Leo queen known for stealing every spotlight—found herself under a cosmic crossfire not for her glam, but for what some social media stargazers call ‘rude’ behavior during the infamous Glambot sweep. And while some are saying she could learn a thing or two about manners from a Love Island contestant’s sweet, demure Glambot moment, others are waving the flag, reminding us all that juggling fame isn’t always a graceful pas de deux. So, was Jennifer simply playing her role in the fast-paced red carpet ballet, or did she miss a beat? Dive into the star-studded saga and see if you catch the ‘hi’ she quietly slipped in. LEARN MORE.
Jennifer Lopez’s time at the Golden Globes has been critisized by social media commenters who have dubbed her glambot conduct as ‘rude’.
The Globes is where it was all happening on January 11, and many celebrities took the opportunity to use the famed Glambot, created by Cole Walliser.
Walliser has been showing off his quick camera skills in every major celebrity awards event for the past few years, after having gained fame as a music video director.
What happens during his Glambot side event is that celebrities will come to a section of the carpet and do an incredibly quick pose on the marker as a camera zooms past suspended above.
From there, the footage will be slowed down in ultra-clear quality, giving an amazing and glamorous look.
Usually, celebs are pretty good at greeting Walliser and having a conversation as they wait for their shot, but spectators have been ripping into Lopez after her ‘rude’ Glambot footage was released.

Apparently, it shows her ignoring Walliser, and being ‘rude’.
Under the TikTok video, which has been viewed more than 28.1 million times, people called her out, with one person saying: “Am I tripping or did she not say a single word to that man?”
Another wrote: “She didn’t even speak to him!!!!!”
And someone else claimed: “She’s so rude bro.”
Just two days after JLo’s gGambot video release, Olandria Carthen, a contestant from Love Island US 2025, was also published on the platform, leading some to compare her conduct to the singer’s.
In the clip, Carthen was seen holding Walliser’s hands as she introduced herself, engaged in conversation, and asked for tips on how to use her limited time on camera.
Calling her ‘demure’ in the comments, many said this is something Lopez could learn from.
One person wrote: “Jlo you see how you say hi hello and thank you.”
Another said: Jennifer could learn a few things from her,” and someone else wrote: “See JLO that’s how a human behaves.”
However, many people were quick to defend Lopez and pointed out how she was just doing her job at a busy event.
One person said on X: “Y’all are dragging this in this comments & I’m no big J. Lo fan but she greeted him, spoke & etc her words are in yellow on this video. She was just talking low.”
Another wrote: “The red carpet is a job. All the celebs rush through it. She seems focused on getting A good pose/ shot, but she did greet him.”
In fact, if you look at the subtitles on Walliser’s video, you’ll see that it appears that JLo does actually say ‘hi’.
UNILAD reached out to Lopez’s representatives for comment.
