Jennifer Lawrence — yes, the sparkling star of The Hunger Games — has quietly swapped the glamour of Hollywood for the irresistible chaos of home life, proudly calling herself a “stay-at-home mom.” Now, you might ask: with the stars aligning under a disciplined Capricorn moon today, could Jennifer’s newfound domestic devotion be the universe’s way of reminding us that even the brightest lights need a cozy backstage? This weekend’s buzz wasn’t about her acting chops but her bold “naked dress” moment at the Golden Globes — a move that had fans both gasping and defending in equal measure. Yet, it’s her candid chat on the SmartLess podcast that really shines, revealing how balancing blockbuster work and bedtime stories isn’t just a juggling act, but her very essence. Married to the ever-organized Cooke Maroney and juggling two kids on a “very strict schedule” (thanks, hubby!), Jennifer is redefining celebrity life through a lens of parenting pride and honest hustle. And, oh, did I mention, she prefers filming steamy scenes with strangers? Yeah, that too. Dare to dive deeper? LEARN MORE
While she may be one of the biggest actors out there, Jennifer Lawrence is all about spending time with her children at home nowadays – to the point where she identifies as a ‘stay-at-home mom’.
The Hunger Games star made all the headlines over the weekend after rocking up at the Golden Globes in a ‘naked dress’. But despite the unconventional look, many of her fans were quick to defend the actor.
Away from that, the 35-year-old sat down on a recent episode of the SmartLess podcast to discuss how she balances her career with being a mom.
And to put it simply, Lawrence sees herself as a parent above anything else.
“I identify as a stay-at-home mom,” the mother-of-two said.

“But I am obviously working.
“I’m not used to being busy like this. I normally have a busy three months while I’m filming, but even in that sense, it’s calm because there is nothing else to do. I just go to work, come home, sleep, and then I do it again. And then, for two weeks, you promote. It is hectic.”
During the podcast, Lawrence also spoke about married life after wedding Cooke Maroney in 2019.
“I married somebody who is the opposite of me,” Lawrence confessed. “He is so organized. He’s an anchor. Everything is ordered. I have to keep the closet doors closed, and I have my little jobs that I work really hard to do.”
The No Hard Feelings actor continued: “I get it now. [The kids are] on a very strict schedule. He’s good at keeping it. But we’ve learned to keep our marriage alive, I have a 15-minute wiggle room.”

When it comes to her work, Lawrence recently spoke about how she prefers filming NSFW scenes with strangers when it comes to her projects.
Speaking to People about filming with Robert Pattinson, she said: “It was actually easier that way, because Rob and I did not know each other. Which is kind of better, you know?
“Imagine it! So yeah, doing it with a stranger is preferable.”
Lawrence recalled filming a particularly odd scene in her latest project with Pattinson, Die My Love.
“It was these actors, and they’re attacking each other like tigers,” she said. “And we were like, ‘OK, yeah,’ and she was like, ‘Can you do it naked, yeah?’ [imitating director Lynne Ramsay’s Scottish accent]. We were like, ‘Oh, OK,’ and that was the first day on set.”
