The FBI has finally released the surveillance footage of Jeffrey Epstein‘s final moments six years after his suicide while awaiting trial.
The release follows an earlier promise by FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino, who expressed hope that it would finally put to rest the speculation surrounding Epstein’s death. The footage spans approximately 11 hours, with one scene showing Epstein alive and being led to his cell.
In addition to releasing the footage, the FBI has wrapped up its probe into the death of the late financier and confirmed that no new individuals will be charged in connection with the sex trafficking case that initially led to Jeffrey Epstein’s arrest.

Six years after Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide, CCTV footage capturing his final hours has finally been made public, per The US Sun.
The surveillance footage, which spans roughly 11 hours, covers August 9 and 10 of his final days at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City as he awaited trial on sex trafficking charges involving minors.
As of around 7:49 pm on August 9, Epstein was still alive. He can be seen in the footage being escorted to his cell by a guard. The two moved through a flight of stairs and a common area before arriving at Epstein’s cell.

While the camera angle didn’t show the cell door directly, it also didn’t capture any guards or inmates approaching the door during the rest of the footage.
The next sign of movement near Epstein’s cell came at approximately 10:39 pm, when a guard appeared to walk toward the area. The same guard was seen again on camera at 10:41 pm.
For the rest of the night, no one was seen heading toward the cell, and it is believed that it was at this time that the suicide occurred.

The footage from August 10 showed a few guards walking around the common area at approximately 6:30 am, seemingly unaware that Epstein had taken his life.
At the time, they were distributing breakfast in accordance with standard protocol at the correctional center.
Three minutes later, the discovery appears to have been made, as more guards are seen entering the common area and heading toward Epstein’s cell.
Although not captured on the footage, Epstein was eventually rushed to a hospital after he was found unresponsive and did not respond to CPR.
At the hospital, he was pronounced dead, and his death was ultimately ruled a suicide by the medical examiner.

The release of the surveillance footage follows an earlier promise from FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino to make it available to the public.
By releasing the footage, Bongino hopes to put an end to all speculation about foul play in Epstein’s death.
He had previously expressed this intention during an interview with Fox News in May.
“There’s video clear as day,” he said at the time. “He’s the only person in there and the only person coming out. You can see it.”
“There’s just nobody there. So I say to people, if you have a tip, let us know,” he added. “But there’s no DNA, there’s no audio, there’s no fingerprints, there’s no suspects, there’s no accomplices, there’s no tips. There is nothing.”
Despite the lack of evidence pointing to foul play, reports indicated that several protocols were not followed in monitoring Epstein.
The late financier was not checked on as frequently as required, which has raised suspicion surrounding his suicide.
According to reports, two guards responsible for conducting inmate counts had fallen asleep at their desks and later falsified records.

Alongside the release of the video, the FBI announced that they have officially ended their investigation into Epstein’s death and ruled his demise as suicide.
The decision was outlined in a memo, which stated that their conclusion was consistent with “previous findings,” including autopsy reports and the newly released surveillance footage.
In another part of the memo, the FBI said they found no proof that a “client list” ever existed, as had been widely rumored, and no signs that Epstein was blackmailing famous or powerful people.
Also, the FBI revealed that they do not intend to charge any other third parties in connection with the case, as there was no “evidence that could predicate an investigation.”
This has officially now put a lid on all things Jeffrey Epstein, as far as the federal government is concerned.
