Ivanka Trump drew attention Saturday night in Miami, not just for her night out with her husband, Jared Kushner, but because her bodyguard was seen on video shoving a man who got a little too close.

The intense moment sparked mixed reactions online, but let’s be real, Ivanka probably did not need much backup. Earlier this year, she showed off her jiu-jitsu progress in a training video with the Valente Brothers, and she looked more than capable of handling herself.

Still, it is no surprise her security team stays on high alert as Ivanka Trump has been in the public eye since childhood, and even more so as the president’s daughter.

ICYMI, the viral video captured an intense moment involving Ivanka, her husband, and a stranger. The clip, filmed at Carbone Beach, showed the couple leaving a party when things took an unexpected turn.

The 43-year-old turned heads in a stunning gold halter gown that accentuated her toned figure and long legs. The look was paired with strappy tan heels as she let her blonde hair flow freely. 

Ivanka’s husband looked equally stylish in a black shirt and velvet sports jacket paired with dark jeans and dress shoes.

As the couple walked to their awaiting SUV, a man carrying a Manila folder appeared to get too close to the pair. The security guard, noticing the potential threat, gently pushed the man aside.

However, the man swatted away the guard and continued moving toward Ivanka and Jared. That is when the situation escalated, and the security guard firmly pushed the man out of the frame, leaving the crowd gasping.

Ivanka and Jared briefly turned around to check on the situation before continuing their walk to the vehicle. A caption for the TikTok video humorously warned, “Don’t push Ivanka’s security or you will get flattened.”

The viral clip shows what some believe to be a Secret Service agent stepping in when the man approached the couple as they neared their vehicle. The shove was swift, and reactions were just as fast.

Some viewers supported the move, pointing out the unique level of protection expected for high-profile figures like Ivanka and her husband. 

“Just in case y’all forgot, the Secret Service are not ‘for hire’ or ‘rent-a-cops.’ They are given direct orders from the Federal Government to protect the Presidents Family. They do NOT mess around,” one commenter wrote.

Another humorously stated, “He earned that one, he was too close for one, then his ego got him flattened,” while someone else joked, “Bro pushed that man into next week.”

Others defended the guard’s actions, noting that the man had gotten between Ivanka and her security detail just as she was approaching the car. “He was doing his job. Y’all stop acting like it ok for a stranger to just walk up and get between her and the car. Duh,” one person wrote. 

One more user emphasized the safety concern, stating,  “He was pacing them. That’s a huge potential threat. NEVER walk along with them, especially when they’re approaching their vehicle. Isn’t this common sense.”

The TikTok video stirred strong reactions online and some did not like the shove made by the security guard. One commenter wrote:

“I’ve replayed it many times. The guy was walking and the security guard rudely shoved him to the side , the guy reacted and then the security guard pushed him. He could’ve hit his head really bad.” 

Another added, “Notice how security illegally put his arm on the guy first. Pedestrians are allowed to exist. That is a public sidewalk.”

Some believed the response was excessive, like this person who noted, “The security was in the wrong pushing the guy out of the way. He could politely say step aside.”

Others were more blunt. “Please sue,” one user stated. “That was way uncalled for…that security guard will get Ivanka sued!! guy was just walking…and got pushed,” another noted. Still, a few users kept the mood light. “They got Avengers in the Secret Service now,” one joked.

Before the video of her bodyguard shoving a man went viral, Ivanka had already proven she could likely hold her own. Earlier this year, she gave fans a glimpse into her martial arts training with the Valente Brothers, a well-known jiu-jitsu family.

The Blast reported that Ivanka, dressed in a white gi and blue belt, confidently sparred with Gui Valente during a session at their studio. The footage also featured Joaquim, Pedro, and their father Pedro Sr., all bowing respectfully at the end of the video.

In their caption, the Valente Brothers described jiu-jitsu as more than just self-defense. “Rooted in ancient tradition and refined over generations, it offers a path to physical confidence, mental clarity, and emotional balance,” they wrote. 

They also noted how meaningful it was to train with Ivanka, stating, “What makes this journey even more meaningful is sharing it with those we respect and value. As families, training together gives us the rare gift of growing side by side, on the mat and in life.”

With consistent practice under her belt, Ivanka showed she is not just relying on security, she is building her own strength too.

While keeping a low political profile, the star turned her attention to health, fitness, and family life in South Florida. Ivanka leaned into a wellness-focused routine that she occasionally shared with her followers. In February, she posted a mirror selfie showing off her toned abs in a short white top and blue shorts. 

She used the caption to discuss the challenge of sticking to New Year’s goals. “Sticking to New Year’s resolutions isn’t easy—only 23% of people make it past the first week. [I’ve fallen into that category many, many times!] But every day is a new opportunity to show up and stay committed,” she wrote. 

In conclusion to her uplifting message, she shared an update of her own goals, “Feeling stronger and more motivated as February begins —let’s keep going! Strong body / Strong mind!”
