As a close friend of Jackman, he also offered a rare glimpse into how the actor has been coping, noting that Jackman’s level of fame only made the situation more challenging.

“No one wants anyone to go through what he is, and he is going through it publicly because of his fame,” he said on the show.

Despite everything, Worland believes Jackman is embracing this new chapter of his life with resilience.

“I was over in New York with him last month, and he is fine. He is going along well,” the radio presenter added, per the New York Post.

Barely 24 hours ago, Furness spoke about her divorce in a cryptic statement that hinted at Jackman “betraying” her.

“My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,” Furness said, seemingly referencing her estranged husband’s romance with his Broadway co-star Sutton Foster.

“It’s a profound wound that cuts deep,” she added, per The Blast. “It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values, and boundaries is liberation and freedom.”

Reflecting further on her split, Furness claimed that “one thing” she’s learned is that “none of this is personal and that we are all on “our individual journeys.”

“I believe that the relationships in our lives are not random,” she continued. “We are drawn to people, we invite them in, in order to learn our lessons and to recognize and heal the broken parts of ourselves…I remain grateful.”

The statement from Furness comes after she filed for divorce from the “Wolverine” star on May 23 at a court in New York, per the Daily Mail.

The move brings an end to the estrangement between the duo, as the couple had been separated since 2023. The divorce is also expected to be finalized quickly, as the filing revealed that the duo isn’t contesting over any assets.

It remains unclear how the duo chose to split their assets, but sources have claimed that the settlement they reached “pleased” Furness after earlier reports that she wanted far more than Jackman was willing to offer.

“There was some back and forth regarding this financial agreement, but in the end, she got what she believed she deserved,” an insider told the outlet about the agreement, which includes a” handsome spousal support payment.”

“There is not going to be any drama with this gives closure that she needed,” they added.

When Furness and Jackman announced their split in 2023, they issued a joint statement, making it clear that it would be their only public comment on the matter, per People Magazine.

In the statement, they emphasized their continued mutual respect and shared commitment to family, saying, “Our family has been and always will be our highest priority.”

Now, nearly two years later, their approach reportedly remains the same, particularly when it comes to co-parenting their children, Ava Eliot and Oscar Maximillian.

“They are amicable and they are both fully committed to being the best parents that they can be,” a second source told the Daily Mail about the former couple.

Amid Jackman and Furness’s divorce, the actor’s new lover, Foster, is said to have started “slowly migrating” her belongings into his home in New York as their romance continues to blossom.

The couple was recently spotted carrying moving boxes into the lavish apartment Jackman purchased with his ex-wife in 2022 for $21.12 million.

Later, Sutton was seen leaving Hugh’s upscale residence before hopping onto a Citi Bike rather than ordering an Uber.

While the move may come as no surprise, given that the two have been “living together” and are said to be “inseparable,” it has reportedly not sat well with Jackman’s estranged wife, Deborra-Lee Furness.

“Deb is shattered knowing Sutton is making the penthouse her own – the place she poured her soul into,” an insider told the outlet about Jackman’s ex, adding that she wants to be “treated fairly” as she navigates life after their split.

“She wants him to be happy, but Hugh’s completely green when it comes to dating. She’s concerned he’s leaping into living with someone else way too soon,” the insider added, per the Daily Mail.
