During a recent sit-down with Andy Cohen on “SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live,” Stern did not hold back, dismissing the allegations that his show was ending over his “woke” views as completely unfounded.
He recalled that he first learnt of the chatter while he was on vacation and admitted that he didn’t even know what he was being accused of.
“I don’t know whatever it was or because I’m too woke. Too woke? I don’t even know what woke is. What is woke?” the radio icon asked Cohen.
He continued, “The fact that if I’m too woke, the world has turned upside down. I mean, holy sh-t, the stuff I do and talk about, I don’t even know what that means. But you know what? If it means I’m awakened, God bless.”

When Cohen suggested that the word might simply mean caring about others, Stern replied, “Yeah, I mean, it’s suddenly not macho to give a f-ck about anybody.”

Stern clarified his position on the broadcast network, making it clear that he does not plan on leaving them soon and is already in discussions on “extending his contract in some way.”
The 71-year-old presenter, however, did not reveal much about the ongoing negotiations but noted that he is comfortable with whatever the outcome would be. “I love this company. I do,” he declared.
He then expressed pride in the company’s growth, recalling that it had about 200,000 subscribers when he joined, while its rival, XM Radio, dominated the market.
Reflecting on his role in the network’s success, Stern added, “And if I do end up staying with this company, I’m going to take ownership of that.”

This is not the first time he has set the record straight about his career ending, but instead of putting the chatter to rest, it fueled the rumors further.
At the time, The Blast reported that the veteran host teased his listeners during his anticipated return on September 8. Instead of hearing Stern, the audience heard Cohen’s voice welcoming them, claiming he had been asked to take over the show.
However, a few minutes into the program, Stern came on-air to announce that the takeover was a prank. He then spoke about the talks about the end of radio reign, saying he was in the talks with the show runners.

Stern defending his views comes after Roseanne Barr accused him of being a “shill” whose opinions have been influenced.
As The Blast reported, Barr took to X, calling Stern a p-ssy, writing that she hoped he realized where he went wrong shilling for “fascists and pro-cancel culture.” She added, “He used to be a bastion of free speech, and now he’s a shill.”
After initially criticizing Stern, Barr surprisingly defended him when a fan insulted Stern, praising him as “the greatest to ever do it.”
Amid speculation about Stern’s relationship with Sirius XM, new reports claimed that he is frustrated with the network’s heavy promotion of Alex Cooper, who is being labeled as “the future of Sirius.”
According to The Blast, an insider disclosed that Stern is aware that the company is investing significantly in the host of “Call her Daddy,” and is struggling to accept her valued stance with them.
The informant suggested that part of what contributed to Stern’s displeasure with Cooper is the fact that, unlike him, she is not the traditional radio host.
According to the source, Stern resented the network is prominent backing of Cooper, believing his own contributions were being overshadowed.
