Ever feel like life just threw you a cosmic curveball right after an eclipse—like you’re standing at a crossroads with one foot on your old, worn path and the other tapping the edge of something shiny and new? That’s exactly the vibe this week’s Moon is dishing out as it sashays from Pisces through Aries and Taurus, landing in Gemini by Friday night. It’s that quirky moment when the universe nudges us forward, forcing us to toss out the cobwebs and hustle up whatever scraps of wisdom, skills, and confidence we’ve dragged along from past adventures. Think of it as your own hankering-for-a-fresh-start jam session, with Virgo’s Sun and Mercury prepping the band just in time for an epic new moon encore. So, are you ready to embrace the testy crossroads, or will you let the drama steal your spotlight? Trust me, this cosmic show’s worth sticking around for—and hey, milkshakes help with the tough parts. LEARN MORE.
Post-eclipse, this week’s Moon highlights the north node effect of first steps toward the intersection of our own path with the arc of the greater good. The mood of the day/mode of the day keeps us in the arena and working out kinks between old and new.
The Moon finishes out Pisces on Monday, moves through Aries and Taurus through Friday, then winds up in Gemini on Friday night. It feels a bit like starting over, and the mood takes us wham-bam into action, into gathering resources and collecting data. Getting up and out, gathering the building blocks of the next leg of our adventure.
The Virgo Sun moves over the south node on Wednesday, then Virgo-ruler Mercury follows over the node Thursday, gaining ground on a weekend conjunction with the Sun. Both perfect a sextile to Cancer Jupiter, midday then afternoon/eve on Friday. The mood aids in juicing up the budding narrative as Jupiter brings the drive to consolidate the best of what we’re taking with us: skills, knowledge, confidence.
If we’re looking toward a fresh start in the next eclipse, the upcoming new moon in Virgo, preparation is key. There’s no better prepper than an earthy Virgo. Jupiter holds the door open for the Sun and Mercury here, with a budding square to retro Aries Chiron. Better for things to break now than on the road to the future. Break, but build back better.
In fact, Libra Mars heads into opposition to Chiron as Libra-ruler Venus in Sun-ruled Leo moves to trine Chiron. From Wednesday through the weekend, Venus picks up a sextile to Mars. When we’re actively after what we want, we’re going to run into opportunities to tune up our game to the master level. When you run straight into a sticky wicket, consider it your testing ground. Also, ask yourself: what is the test? What is this showing you, and where can you improve? Lean in rather than avoid.
The epic story of Homer’s Odyssey starts out at the END of a preceding epic adventure. The Iliad is Odysseus’ ten year adventure through the Trojan War. The Odyssey is his adventure home. Metaphorically, just like Odysseus we’re gathering ourselves to come full circle. Like him, we can face this prep time as a rest that’s actually full of work. Get your shit together, but there’s no reason you can’t enjoy the process. You CAN.
Make up your mind to use what you’ve got, what you’ve learned, and who you are after the war to set yourself up for the most heroic journey possible. That starts with learning to relax into confidence. Easy journeys don’t make for good stories.
Monday’s Pisces Moon conjoins retro Saturn then heads into Aries to conjoin retro Neptune. It also sextiles retro Pluto and retro Uranus. Reality is still in flux, but we’re ready to roll with the intensity of the moment and put our stamp on next steps. While we’re feeling the sparkle of novelty, we’re also still in thrall to the past. Let the past inspire rather than bind you. It’s a power-up springboard. If anything, recycle it into something different if you can’t leave it behind.
On Tuesday, the Aries Moon trines Venus, squares Jupiter, and opposes Mars. The temptation to blow up is deliciously, dramatically sweet. Beware the attractive inducement to indulge a tantrum, and instead follow pleasant fire into getting what you want through appeasement and cooperation. Smiles go further than roars.
Wednesday, the Aries Moon conjoins retro Chiron then heads into Taurus where it squares retro Pluto. Taurus-ruler Venus moves into sextile with Mars, square to Juno, and trine to Chiron. So while the mood is fixing to blow or some old grudge or other, there’s something to salvage and shine up in all this passion. Motivation for one thing. We’re finding that once we grasp what’s important, it’s a quick pivot to plot out the path (as Mercury sextiles Jupiter).
Thursday’s Taurus Moon heads into trine with Mercury and the Sun straddling the south node in Virgo, earthy and satisfied. What do you like, what do you need? Experience has tuned these in for an exquisite opportunity to expand and improve as the Moon goes on to sextile Jupiter. The Moon squares Venus by night as the Sun perfects its sextile to Jupiter. Perfection is never the destination. It’s the impetus for growth, to improve the plan, the itinerary. It’s also good to remember to slow down or stop when you hit rough road.
On Friday, the Taurus Moon opposes Juno in Scorpio, in a wide t-square with Venus. The mood is a tangle of frustration if you’re inclined to compete and bicker. No one can make you feel inferior if you don’t already suspect that you are. But it would also be a mistake to rely on a narrative of superiority. Best to see it developing and sidestep that collision. Let others fight it out while you get a milkshake.
Eventually the Taurus Moon sextiles retro Saturn, then it heads into Mercury-ruled Gemini to sextile retro Neptune. This takes the Gemini Moon into conjunction with retro Uranus and trine to retro Pluto. Juiced up and happily falling back into a new and improved mood for socializing. Communications flow and create stability in the mood. It’s also a great time for shooting the breeze, brainstorming, or experimenting creatively.
