Is it just me, or did the cosmos sprinkle a bit of magic dust over Stratford this week? ABBA Voyage fans found themselves in a frenzy—not because of Mercury in retrograde—but because none other than Anni-Frid Lyngstad, aka Frida, the original heartbeat of ABBA, was caught grooving in the crowd. Imagine attending a show where you’re jaw-to-floor realizing you’re witnessing a sci-fi spectacular with a living legend right next to you! Frida’s heartfelt words on September 13th, thanking the audience for their love and energy, turned what could’ve been a simple tech-driven reunion into a profoundly human moment. And, as the planets align, the digital avatars of Agnetha, Björn, Benny, and Frida themselves bring the Swedish supergroup back to life with such uncanny detail, it’s almost like time forgot about two decades apart. If you’ve been wondering where to snag a ticket before they vanish like a comet, or curious about what surprises the show’s new set list might hold, you’re in just the right orbit. ABBA Voyage fans are scrambling to buy tickets after original band member Anni-Frid Lyngstad (Frida) was spotted at the arena this week.
The crowd couldn’t believe their luck after it was revealed that they had been watching the show with none other than a real member of the supergroup earlier this week.
Speaking to the audience on Saturday September 13, Frida said: “I just want to say, thank you. I am so touched. “Every time I come here to watch a show and to watch you, and to dance with you, and sing with you, and to applaud with you. I love you very much.”
The moving clip was shared on Instagram and fans rushed to express their excitement.
“It’s clear how much it means to her every time she goes to see the show,” one fan wrote. “It’s so lovely to see her each time and how she spreads her love and shares her feelings.”
Another said, “She’s a living legend and I cannot believe I was lucky enough to be there!”
A third simply wrote: “Frida is music royalty.”
Described as an ‘innovative blast from the past’, ABBA Voyage uses the power of technology to reunite the Swedish hitmakers on stage, over two decades after disbanding.
At a purpose-built arena in Stratford, London, a young Agnetha, Björn, Benny, and Anni-Frid are brought to life as digital avatars for a completely unique and immersive performance.

Another added, “A fantastic and innovative blast from the past. What a fantastic show it was, we loved every minute of it. Minutes in and you forget that you’re watching holograms.
“The detail is incredible, from the light reflecting off them in the dark to the texture of their skin. The band and live singers are brilliant, as are the staff who add to the atmosphere and know how to get the crowd going.”
A third said: “A very unique show that was fantastic, very well done with all the avatars and strobe lighting. [We] booked a seat in the auditorium but hardly used it, as we were near the back – we spent the night singing and dancing. Highly recommended.”
