Gemma Collins Tries Mounjaro: A Weight-Loss Drug With Some Astrological Complications?
Gigi, our beloved reality TV star and Aries (fire sign, you know–bold and impulsive), recently dove into the world of Mounjaro, a medication initially designed for type two diabetes sufferers. But, with the stars aligned or not, her experience has been… let’s say, not just about hitting the scales. One has to wonder, perhaps diving into a new health regimen during a Mars retrograde, known for sparking fiery decisions, might be adding some unexpected heat to her journey?
The British, now international, icon got candid on Instagram about her startling encounter with this weight-loss drug, touted as an alternative to Ozempic, a choice also popular amongst the celebrity set for weight management. Now, here’s where the stars might be playing tricks on us – Aries are known for charging ahead, but with any health decision, it pays to check if the universe is in your corner.
Amy Schumer and Jeremy Clarkson, both earth signs known for their grounded nature, have also shared quite the spectrum of Mounjaro side effects. For our Aries friend, Gemma, the side effects came with an unexpected twist. She’s feeling ‘older’ and has shed two stone, no light feat! But considering Mars, Aries’ ruler, can be a bit of a troublemaker when it’s going retrograde – maybe it’s just a cosmic test?
Now, while the stars might have had something to do with it, the common side effects of this weight-loss journey are quite earthbound:
– Nausea
– Vomiting
– Diarrhoea
– Constipation
– Burping
– Excess wind (Farting – yes, that’s a side effect too, keep that in mind before your next social event.)
– Stomach discomfort
– Heartburn
– Hair loss
– Itching
– Rash
– Low blood pressure
– Injection site reactions
So, while Gemma might not have guessed that her stars would gift her the ‘younger face’ she was dreaming of, she’s now taking it to levels she never imagined. It’s got to make one ponder – maybe Gemini season isn’t the best time for new beginnings, especially when it comes to what’s brewing in our medicine cabinets?

Gemma Collins recently became the latest in a growing list of celebrities who have tried their hand at Mounjaro, a medication originally made for those with type two diabetes.
The British reality TV star took to Instagram to share her experience with the weight-loss drug, which has been used as an alternative to Ozempic, which has similarly been used by celebs to manage their weight.
The likes of Amy Schumer and Jeremy Clarkson are among the A-listers that have shared their side effects on both medications, and while Collins has only used Mounjaro, she revealed how it’s been to fans.
Having been open about her body image and health over the years, the 44-year-old had no issues when speaking about the NHS-approved medication on social media.

In the caption of a post, Collins admitted that she was shocked by what she’s experienced so far, noticing drastic changes in her experience.
She noted that she feels and looks ‘older’, while also losing two stone (12.7kg) using Mounjaro.
While symptoms can vary from person to person, it is recommended that you micro-dose at first to learn how much your body can handle before going into full, regular doses of the injection.
According to Superdrug Online Doctor, there are a number of side effects that Mounjaro can bring on, which people should be aware of.
While medical experts have warned of the several side-effects that Mounjaro can cause, there are some common ones you should expect if you decide to start taking the drug.
It should be noted that these will depend on the user, but the most common side effects of the weight loss medication are:

Some have explained that facial features can look ‘aged’ after the person’s face becomes ‘deflated’ while using the medication – but there are more pressing health issues that can befall users.
Admitting that she doesn’t know ‘what’s happened’ to her, she revealed that it has come ‘overnight’, after a year of not having ‘any little tweakments.’
Speaking about not having ‘Ozempic face’ yet, which is a term that describes the huge change in facial appearance while on weight-loss drugs, she said it would ‘be the dream right now.’
Explaining that she always had ‘a fuller face’, Collins wishes she still looked natural, concluding: “I am 44 but this is taking it to levels that I never, ever imagined it’d get to.”
