From OnlyFans to Nurturing: How Riley Reid's Stars Aligned with Two Ukrainian Kids

Added on April 28, 2025 inCelebrity News Cards

In the warped cosmos of human affairs, where stars align in patterns that could never be penned by even the most poetic astrologer, comes an extraordinary tale that mixes compassion with an unexpected twist of showmanship. Let me spin you into a scenario where the ongoing Ukrainian war, a celestial conundrum in itself, meets the compassionate lives of Riley Reid and Pasha Petkuns.

Picture this: with Ukraine firmly entrenched in its third year of conflict, the world has been left to ponder many things, including why oh why would a Las Vegas native like Riley Reid, known more for her prowess in the adult film industry than her stargazing, and her Latvian freerunner husband, step into the role of foster parents? Here’s where Aries fiery spirit ignites—a sign known for courage and initiative, just like the couple’s brave decision.

Touched by the dire situation of children orphaned by war, their choice to foster two Ukrainian boys, aged six and twelve, underscores a narrative more complex than last night’s Leo moon phase. Here’s a thought-provoking question: could the same stars that guide us to chase fame, wealth, or even fame in the most adult of industries, also summon us to acts of profound kindness?

Honestly, it’s as if Cancer’s nurturing essence—often ignored in the analyses of more audacious signs—crashed through their hearts like a meteor through the atmosphere. Their decision, not just about headlines or virality but about heart, reflects a depth that their usual spotlight might obscure.

And let’s not pretend that their choice didn’t catch eyes; the internet had questions, the public was amused, shocked, maybe a little skeptical. What's the angle? they might ask. Couple the influences of Venus, which governs values and relationships, with Uranus, the planet of surprise, and you've got an authentic act of humanity that defies conventional expectations.

As we delve deeper into this story, we find personal connections that are even more poignant, like constellations brightening a dark sky. The boys’ elder brother was a friend of the couple before the war—their act of fostering was not detached charity but a reaching out to help a known friend’s family… or, should we say, family extended through tragedy’s cruel hand.

The stars aligned, fate moved into motion, and two kids found themselves Stateside, adapting, learning English, and settling into a life that, while strange and new, was filled with love and care. One can only wonder how long this arrangement will last, given the depth of Ukraine’s ongoing struggle. Will Scorpio’s return during their transit through the next few months bring transformation or prolong the separation?

Reid’s personal narrative isn’t stopping there; she’s seizing the moment for a career pivot, moving from adult entertainment into… dare I say… (a space here)[href=”https://www.ladbible.com/entertainment/riley-reid-and-pasha-petkuns-foster-ukrainian-children-20250210″]LEARN MORE[/s]

With conflict in Ukraine now well into its third year, well-known adult film star Riley Reid and her husband, Latvian freerunner Pasha Petkuns, made headlines for their compassionate decision to foster two Ukrainian children whose parents had died.

The war in Ukraine hasn’t just impacted those fighting. It has left countless children without parents, creating a dire need for foster families, and with multiple nuclear threats being made, it doesn’t appear the war will be coming to an end anytime soon, leaving more children in need of loving homes.

While people across the globe have opened their homes to these children, many online were left wondering what prompted Reid and Petkuns to take in two Ukrainian children in the first place.

In a recent interview with YouTube podcast channel TigerBelly, Reid – real name Ashley Matthews – opened up and explained why she opened her home to two refugee children from Ukraine.

Moved by the stories of orphaned children and the dire need for loving families, Reid stated that she had taken in two Ukrainian boys aged six and 12 following the death of their parents.

What makes Reid and Petkuns’ decision even more poignant is their personal connection to the children’s family. Before the war, the children’s elder brother was a friend of the couple.

When the parents tragically lost their lives in the conflict, this older brother was their only next of kin.

The elder sibling was not in a place to be able to provide a stable home for his siblings, which is where the couple stepped in and offered to give the younger siblings a temporary home while their big brother finds his feet.

Asked by podcast host Bobby Lee if she would ever help somebody out who was struggling, Reid said: “I’m actually fostering two children from Ukraine who are refugees from the war.

“For everything they’ve been through they’re actually pretty great kids.”

Reid goes on to say that the children have been in the country for around a year now, and have adapted well, all things considered.

The boys have managed to settle in well, according to the retired adult film star, as well as managing to learn to speak English since moving to the United States as refugees.

While Reid didn’t say how long she expected to have the Ukrainian children in her care, considering the impact the war has had on families in Ukraine, it could be some time before their brother is able to take in his younger siblings.

The need for foster families is critical right now, especially for children who have lost their parents due to the war.

Ultimately Reid and Petkuns’ decision underscores the significant role individuals can play in making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children.

Speaking of her recent move towards family life, Reid is looking towards a career change away from the adult industry, and instead focus on family entertainment.
