Bourassa requested that the 27-year-old should no longer be allowed to visit their children in his home without supervision after her dual arrest in one month for child neglect and substance abuse.
He also asked the court to modify the existing custody arrangement after explaining in a motion filed on September 19 that he had been awarded sole custody of their children since 2019.
“Since the entry of the last order affecting legal custody and physical placement in this matter, there has been a substantial change in circumstances concerning the parties’ minor children,” Bourassa wrote.

He added that “a modification periods of physical placement in favor of [Jacob] is necessary because the current custodial conditions have the potential of being both physically and emotionally harmful to the best interests of the parties’ minor children.”
Bourassa’s attorney declared that “It is no longer in the best interests of the parties’ minor children that [Chelsea] have unsupervised placement.”
He referred to Chelsea’s recent arrest as part of his argument, noting the charges, which included: “charges of maintaining a drug trafficking place, child neglect, possession of methamphetamine and possession of THC.” Bourassa asked that the court:

The Blast shared that Chelsea has not made any headway in her attempt to get out from behind bars. A rep from the Oconto County Sheriff confirmed that she is still in custody, with her or no one showing up to pay up the bond sum.
The celebrity’s daughter’s freedom was set on a $5,000 bond bail when she appeared before a judge via a Zoom call. Aside from the bond, the presiding judge also ordered her to practice and maintain sobriety upon her due freedom.
Chelsea was also asked not to consume drugs or alcohol nor have any contact with her co-defendant in the ongoing case.

The comedian broke her silence on her daughter’s arrest on her Instagram page, where she shared an old picture of Chelsea cradling an infant. Rosie captioned the nostalgic image “Chelsea is in the news today- this is a photo from a better time – here is the family comment.”
She revealed that her daughter has battled addiction for nearly ten years. However, Rosie gave hope a chance in her daughter’s only, stating:
“We are all hopeful she will find her way out of this deadly disease.”
Rosie’s touching post did not fall on deaf ears as fans flooded the comment section to send warm wishes to the entertainer.
Chelsea was arrested at her home on September 10 after she made a call to the Marinette County Sheriff’s office. On getting to her home, the officer noticed she was intoxicated and admitted to getting into a verbal argument with her boyfriend, Jacob Nelund.
When asked to provide more details, Chelsea began playing dumb, prompting the officer to carry out a deeper search.
“The inside of the home was disgusting; throughout the house, I saw rotten food, dirty moldy dishes, milk that stunk so bad it almost made me puke, dirty diapers, used female hygiene products, unclean underwear with feces and blood stains, and used razor blades on the floor,” the officer noted.

Upon entering the baby’s room, officers discovered a box containing used hypodermic needles with dried blood in them.
“Under a baby crib, I located a black and silver digital scale, some used gem bags with white residue, and a sharps container that had more used and unused hypodermic needles. In a clothes pile, I found a straw that had been cut off and burnt,” the officer in his statement.
The child has since been handed over to Jacob and Chelsea’s friends by Child Protective Services, who arrived at the scene. Chelsea has since been charged with four counts of felony, maintaining a drug trafficking place, child neglect, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of THC on September 17.
