Added on August 20, 2025 inCelebrity News Cards

Ever wonder what happens when Mercury’s mischief crew teams up with a doppelgänger’s charm? Well, last Saturday night at a Las Vegas nightclub, an audacious ‘fake’ Justin Bieber pulled a stunt so convincing that even the DJ—yes, the guy spinning the tunes—was totally bamboozled. With a bar tab swelling to a jaw-dropping $10,000 and attendees buzzing over what they thought was a surprise appearance by the ‘Love Yourself’ crooner, it was a scene straight out of a cosmic prank. As Bieber recently dropped his seventh studio album, Swag, and stirred up headlines with his personal life, the timing couldn’t have been zanier. But when the big reveal hit, the shock was real—proving sometimes, the stars might be aligned just to keep us guessing. Ready to dive into the full tale and see how a French impersonator fooled the masses and even the pros? LEARN MORE

A ‘fake’ Justin Bieber tricked an entire club, including the DJ, into believing that he was the real deal.

It’s a mean feat that caught everyone off-guard, including the club itself, as the pretender racked up a hefty bar tab worth $10,000.

People in attendance were over the moon to see what they thought was the ‘Love Yourself’ singer in attendance, especially given that he surprised fans with the release of his seventh studio album, Swag, last month.

Leading single ‘Daisies’ has even been a feature in the Top 10 of the UK Singles Chart since its release.

So, with Bieber back in the mainstream after a number of rumoured controversies between him and his wife Hailey, many in the venue thought he was there to re-launch himself into the public eye with some of his best tunes.

But this wasn’t to be, as an impersonator went viral for his convincing performance with DJ Gryffin at XS Nightclub in Las Vegas on Saturday (16 August).

Taking to TikTok, Gryffin, real name Daniel Griffith, shared his perspective of events and his reaction when he was told that it was a fake JB.

The 37-year-old admitted he had been ‘duped’ by the wannabe star, and that the ‘dark venue and loud music didn’t help’.

He jokingly wrote: “So his ‘team’ said he wanted to perform ‘Sorry’… little did I know I was about to be sorry.”

The crowd went crazy and following the set, the DJ wrote that he was about to find out ‘the worst news imaginable’.

In the video, he can be seen with a huge smile plastered across his face, saying: “That was insane. That was actually insane.”

One of his mates then told him that he was a ‘complete fake’, with the DJ left wide-eyed and with his jaw on the floor.

Saying there was ‘no way’, it cuts to the artist in his hotel room claiming: “I literally thought like, ‘damn, he’s put on a lot of weight since the album dropped!'”

In hindsight, Bieber rarely performs live and the whole experience seemed too good to be true, but you can’t blame the DJ for making the most of an impromptu situation.

It turns out that it was a French man named Dylan Desclos, who has been known to impersonate Bieber over the years.

The 29-year-old has fooled many people in the past, with videos of ‘Bustin Jieber’ on public transport going viral in the past, even managing to meet Hailey Bieber who admitted she was ‘scared’.

While the Frenchman’s Instagram account seems to have been removed, he’s even staged a ‘world tour’ as Bieber in the past.

Some viewers asked if what Desclos did was legal or if it could even be identity theft, while others asked for an uncut version of the DJ’s reaction, but another admitted: “I THOUGHT YOU WERE IN ON IT BWAHAWHA”.
