Ever wonder if the stars might nudge us toward our true calling, or if it’s just some cosmic coincidence? Take this story, for example—imagine being a pro dancer as a kid, then outta nowhere, a random DVD from Ibiza drops into your lap, and suddenly, the grooves start pulling you in like some kind of alien dance invitation. Little did she know, watching those otherworldly moves would spark a fire that would steer her toward music. Fast forward a few years, a tough car accident lands her in the hospital, and while healing, those beats from Ministry of Sound and Café del Mar became her lifeline, whispering promises of something bigger. Around two decades ago, when female DJs were as rare as a lunar eclipse during Mercury retrograde, she dove headfirst into vinyl collecting and turntable mastering—defying the odds and spinning her destiny. So, could today’s astrological vibes be a sign to chase what sets your soul on fire? Maybe it’s time to listen to that inner tune. LEARN MORE
When did you first know music was your path?
I was actually a professional dancer when I was little, but when I was 11, someone randomly gifted me a DVD from Bora Bora in Ibiza. As I watched it, I really started to like the music. I was also watching how people danced; to me, they looked like aliens, the way they danced. You know, I was just a kid, and I kept thinking, “Wow, I really like this.”
Then, when I was around 16, I was in a car accident. While I was healing in the hospital I was listening to music; stuff like Ministry of Sound, Hedkandi, Café del Mar, and John Digweed.
I felt like this music was so positive, and I thought to myself, “I want to do something with this, I think I want to do music.” This was around 20 years ago, and at that time, there weren’t many female DJs. So I started collecting vinyl, ordering lots of records from places like Juno, and began learning how to play vinyl. That’s how I got into music.
