Have you ever wondered what happens when Mercury’s in retrograde, the moon’s doing the cha-cha in Capricorn, and Mariah Carey’s warming up her vocal cords—all at the same time? Welcome to New Year’s Eve 2026. Just look at that photo: Ryan Seacrest casually owning Times Square, while a constellation of literal pop stars gets ready to light up the night and, let’s face it, probably summon a few rain clouds with Mariah’s whistle tones.
I mean, can your zodiac sign survive eight hours of 50 Cent, Demi Lovato, Pitbull, Chappell Roan, and—be still my heart—Post Malone all squeezing into your living room through your TV? As ABC and Dick Clark Productions just revealed, this year’s “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” is officially running longer than most of my New Year’s resolutions—an extra 90 minutes to cry, cheer, and try to remember if you already opened that second bottle of champagne.
So, as the planets align and the clock ticks down, make sure you’re ready for a night that’s one part musical marathon, one part star-studded fever dream… and if your rising sign starts tap-dancing? Well, blame Seacrest. LEARN MORE
